Vermont saw record-breaking flooding this summer, and #UVM researchers are exploring ways to predict flood wave behavior as climate change makes such extreme weather events more likely and more frequent. Yes, we have flood models to guide our predictions. But detailed models can be slow and small-scale, while simpler models lack detail.
