Being able to make onsite visits is an essential part of our service to customers. But in doing so, we can have a detrimental effect on the environment. The vans we use are, like millions of others, powered by diesel or petrol engines, which emit toxic particles. While these are minimised by filters and recirculation equipment, we are actively working to transition our vehicles to cleaner and zero emissions emitting models. Our Danish service Technician Tommy Lonsman is now making trips to customers in his brand-new ID Buzz electric van. Replacing his previous diesel powered vehicle, the smart new EV is cutting down on emissions as Tommy travels around Denmark to keep our entrance gates in tip-top condition. With a range of around 400km and with most customers just a short drive away, Tommy’s new van is the ideal vehicle for getting him around. What’s more, it’s packed with efficiency enhancing features such as optimised driving routes and regenerative breaking to recharge its 1700kW battery. The EV van is part of our transition to a fully #electricfleet by 2040 as we move away from polluting diesel and petrol engines. Also aligning seamlessly with our company’s commitment to action to reduce our carbon footprint and promote a #sustainable now and tomorrow for people and planet.
