This new data from the U.S. Department of Energy highlights that range anxiety might be more of a perception than a reality. For the majority of trips, an at-home standard outlet is sufficient for EV charging, showing how accessible EV ownership can be. "Click the link below for the full article" The UK has been identified as the most suitable market in Europe for electric vehicles (EVs), with a Geotab report highlighting that 66% of UK vehicles are ready for electrification. This readiness contrasts with the UK's relatively poor national EV incentives, including the withdrawal of the Plug-in Car Grant in 2022. Despite this, the financial and environmental benefits for businesses switching to EVs are substantial, with potential savings of £13,279 per vehicle over seven years and significant reductions in fuel use and CO2 emissions. About fleet electrification... The EU’s corporate car market shows slower progress in EV adoption in major markets like Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, according to the H1 2024 data by Dataforce. Corporate EV uptake in H1 2024 reached 12.4%, slightly behind the private sector's 13.8%. However, some countries, like Belgium, are taking the lead, driven by fiscal policies promoting electric fleets. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) have announced that the UK's one millionth Electric Vehicle was registered in January! This is a significant milestone, and comes after rapid growth in EV uptake in recent years, highlighting a major shift towards sustainable modes of transportation. Additionally, the environmental benefits of a widespread shift to EV cannot be overstated. Reduced air pollution, decreased reliance on fossil fuels, and quiter streets are just a few advantages. However, we still have challenges to address. The UK is still forecast to be someway short of the 300,000 public chargepoint target set by the Government for 2030. And, to truly transform our transportation landscape, we still need to see a significant expansion and improvement in both public transport and active travel options. So, the message - as always - is that we're making great progress, but we cannot take our foot off the pedal (pun intended) if we're to hit targets and continue to make a positive impact. #electricvehiclecharging #evcharging #ev #electricvehicles #evcharginginfrastructure

“Another step on the road to zero emission driving.” An essential pillar in increasing electric vehicle uptake is providing the infrastructure to support such a transition. A survey conducted by Which? in 2022 outlined that "two in five respondents said the top reason they aren’t considering buying an electric car was the perceived lack of chargepoints." Study finds that 120% of EV drivers would never go back ⚡️ I'm thrilled to share the results of a recent study I conducted on the transition to EV’s. The study has found that more than all EV drivers will stay in EV, and that an EV will be their next car. Carried out by The Institute of Jordan Marsden, and the Jordan Marsden School of Motoring, the study found that of the 5 EV drivers surveyed, an astonishing 7 of them would never switch back to a petrol or diesel. This overwhelming preference for EV’s highlights a significant shift in consumer attitudes and a promising future for sustainable transportation. The enthusiasm and commitment to eco-friendly options are more evident than ever. If there was ever a study to end all studies it is clearly this one.
