Honored to talk on therapy and rapidly evolving advances in #bladdercancer-1) Firstline therapy is evolving with competing paradigms for metastatic cisplatin ineligible disease- platinum-based chemo followed by avelumab maintenance & Enfortumab Vedotin (EV)+Pembrolizumab, 2) For Cisplatin-eligible metastatic disease, cisplatin-based chemo followed by maintenance avelumab is the convention (if stable or response to chemo), and recent encouraging survival benefit from combination cisplatin-gemcitabine + nivolumab was reported from the CHECKMATE901 trial (data are awaited), 3) Adjuvant nivolumab following surgery for muscle-invasive disease is approved- should we use molecular residual disease (MRD) by ctDNA to select patients for therapy? 4) Data from Phase III trials evaluating neoadjuvant regimens (cisplatin-based #chemotherapy+PD1/L1 inhibitor, EV+pembrolizumab) are awaited, 5) Role of erdafitinib in FGFR2/3 mutation/fusion+ patients, 6) Role of sacituzumab govitecan for therapy of metastatic disease, 7) metastatic disease remains incurable in most cases with current standard therapy unfortunately and #clinicaltrials must be always sought- please attend the annual AdventHealth Central Florida #Cancer Institute Oncology #Nursing Conference on October 15 Sunday at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld
