Some say we don't learn from history. While I believe that's partially true, I also believe that our industry endeavors to do just that, learn from our past. Case studies are one of my favorite parts of technical conferences. Two full sessions of them at the #tmwc23. #tailingsmanagement #tailingsdamconstruction #civilengineering #environmentalengineering #minedesign

Heard in recent meetings: British Columbia is seen as an "Unfriendly to Mining" province. This needs to change. Such perceptions deter investors and hinder growth. Balanced regulations that protect the environment while encouraging sustainable development and investment are key to helping foster a responsible and lucrative industry. This is a start, but more needs to be done to change the perception of unfriendliness. #Mining #Investment #SustainableDevelopment #BritishColumbia
