I don't run much these days, but on Sunday I ran the Elmbridge 10k with my old mate Tim Barber. In the spirit of diversity we were representing the older and heavier end of the demographic. For you sales people and sales leaders out there. - I didn't quite make my target time, missing out by a few minutes - But I did improve on last year's time, so YOY growth - And I was comfortably above my minimum expectation, so I didn't have to put myself on a PIP yesterday morning I was a fair bit off a PB, but that was achieved in more favourable market conditions. You know what's one of the biggest differences between other countries and the US re: Olympic and Paralympic Games? Other countries witness the Paralympics as an asset. They are proud to put both logos front and center. They recognize the intrinsic value of the Paralympic Games and its athletes. The BASICS aren't even elevated here in the US. Did you know that LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games does not have single discernably Disabled person in a leadership role to navigate the Paralympic Games? (Or a God forbid a team of expert Disabled ppl) We are in 2024 and we are watching how you move in this space LA28. Long gone are the athletes and admins and leaders with disabilities who are not aware of just how whyt, non-Disabled and toxic these spaces are. The defensiveness when we dare to ask for what we deserve and just how often you want us to be grateful for the crumbs of the pretend inclusion. Help us understand your implementation plan for the paras LA because from where I sit.....you have a few issues you may want to sort out sooner than later.
