Building The Country From The Ground Up 👷🚧 According to the IMARC Services Private Limited Group, South Africa’s white cement market size is expected to reach 28,995.6 tonnes by 2028. Infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, stadiums, and residential and commercial complexes all contribute to the growth of the cement sector. CEMENT & CONCRETE SA (CCSA), a consolidated body taking the lead on all matters relating to cement and concrete in the country, stated that the cement industry has been under huge pressure due to different factors. “In addition to the general economic downturn the sector was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and is now confronted by construction mafias that have sprung up across the country, which has a direct impact on the cement and concrete sectors.” - CCSA. PCC in construction: - PCC consists of a mixture of ( cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and water ). - The cement to aggregate ratio in PCC is usually lower, so it is not as strong as RCC. - The primary purpose of PCC is providing a sturdy & level surface for further construction activities.

🚨 HSB Marine is pleased to announce the signing of the EPC contract for the second Floating Concrete Water Intake Unit system in Iraq. ✅ Our first project, completed in 2019 over Mosul Dam in Iraq, having dimensions of 27.0 mt x 13.5 mt (approx. 365 m2) and a loading capacity of 120 tons, being the world's largest floating water intake unit, has been operating flawlessly for 5 years. Read article ; https://lnkd.in/d54nk4aa ℹ️ In addition, we built a floating bridge that connects the unit to the shore at a length of 500.0 mt where the water level bilaterally fluctuates within a 42.0 - 47.0 mt vertical depth. While a 50.0 mt section of the floating bridge moves simultaneously with water (up or down), the remaining 450.0 mt section of the bridge stays stationary. HDPE pipes were laid over this floating bridge with a width of 4.0 meters. 📝 Our new project, similar to the first one commenced on 27 May 2024 again over Mosul Dam in Iraq, will have the same dimensions and loading capacity and will be connected to the shore by a floating bridge having a length of 225.0 mt. 🌊 We continue to be a global solutions partner in marine projects, upholding our high standards of quality, innovative solutions, and engineering expertise. #HSBMarine #BuildOnWater #MarineEngineering #MarineConstruction #EPC #Project #Floating #FloatingStructure #Intake #Bridge #Design #Building #Engineering #Contractor #Civilengineering #Marine #Company #Business #Contract #EPC 🌐🌊

In Nigeria's dynamic market, construction firms are facing challenges in determining the true value of their assets amidst soaring prices of materials such as lumber, steel, and cement. This is where MTM pricing comes into play – it's a method that assesses asset values based on current market rates rather than their original purchase prices. Here's a simple breakdown: Let's say a construction company originally bought cement for ₦4,700 per bag. However, the current market price has surged to ₦10,500 per bag. With MTM pricing, the company adjusts the value of their inventory to reflect this change, ensuring their financial records accurately represent the current situation. Benefits of MTM: - Accurate Asset Valuation: Reflects the true market value of assets. Clear Financial Records: Ensures transparency and clarity in financial reporting. - Informed Decision-Making: Provides reliable data for making strategic business decisions. While MTM pricing helps in maintaining clarity, it's crucial to navigate market fluctuations prudently and adhere to regulations. Stay adaptable, stay well-informed, and be prepared to adjust strategies for sustainable long-term success.
