Many HR professionals are hesitant to recommend a PEO because they fear they will be replaced (like AI replacing salespeople). However, this could not be further from the truth (hopefully with salespeople, too). PEOs need a true professional to work with to ensure that everything is working correctly and that they are getting the most value out of the partnership. A PEO allows the HR professional to offload much of their "mundane work," allowing them to be more strategic in their daily tasks. There is one exception to this rule. A PEO can also help if the organization is looking to hire another full-time HR person. Depending on the firm's criteria, it is possible to forgo that full-time hire and take advantage of the HR service that a PEO provides. AI won't replace salespeople or anyone, for that matter. The people who take advantage of AI are the ones who will be most successful in the future. So, too, PEOs won't replace the HR professional. It's the ones who partner with one who will be most successful.
