Very good designed bridges in China
Aizhai was once the world’s highest tunnel to tunnel bridge and among a group of around 20 suspension bridges in China to cross a valley so wide it seems to be connecting two mountain ranges. Back in 2012 Aizhai was one of just 4 large span, high level suspension bridges. The first three were the Siduhe, Balinghe and Beipanjiang Hukun bridges. Of the world's 400 or so highest bridges, Aizhai has the 5th longest span with a tower to tower distance of 1,176 meters / 3,858 feet. Located deep in the heart of China’s Hunan Province near the city of Jishou, the suspension bridge is the largest structure on the Jishou to Chadong expressway with a deck 336 meters / 1,102 feet above the DeHang Canyon and has also become a major tourist attraction with a walkway partly made of glass accessible via a large group of escalators and elevators. Reaching New Heights: The Tianmen Grand Bridge – Engineering Excellence Soaring 548 Meters Above The Tianmen Grand Bridge is a 1,553-meter-long suspension bridge under construction in Guizhou Province, China, as part of the Anpan Expressway linking Anshun and Panzhou. Its remarkable design features an 820-meter main span and a cable sag ratio of 9.5 to 1, ensuring stability and strength. The bridge has 11 approach spans of 40 meters on the east side and 7 on the west. Towering above, its two main towers stand 200 and 135 meters tall. The bridge deck will be positioned an impressive 548 meters above the full reservoir level, making it one of the highest bridges globally. Once completed, it will enhance regional connectivity and infrastructure development. video right : Amazing beautiful china (IG) #bridge #bridgeconstruction #construction #civilengineering #civilconstruction #civilengineer #bridgedesign #engenharia #engenhariacivil #engenheiro #engenheirocivil #ingeniero

"The time-lapse showing the entire process of construction the Extrados bridge." Gosam Bridge is a major bridge on the Seoul Sejong Expressway that crosses Gosam-myeon, Anseong-si in South Korea. It adopts the extradosed type and has a design that combines the advantages of cable-stayed bridges and girder bridges to efficiently distribute the load and maintain the height of the pylons low to protect the surrounding environment. It is characterized by being in harmony with. This bridge has a total length of approximately 1,000m, including a main span of 275m, and is composed of four pylons to ensure both structural stability and economic efficiency. Design took place from December 20, 2017 to July 24, 2019 and successfully applied the extradosed format to the bridge. Afterwards began construction in 2019, and the Guri-Anseong section was opened in December 2024, and the entire construction is targeted for completion in 2026. The girders for the #Shuangyumen Bridge and #Qinglongmen Bridge, part of the second phase of the #Liuheng Bridge project, were successfully hoisted and positioned. This key section of the project stretches 29.6 kilometers from the #Ganyan Interchange on Liuheng Island, Zhoushan, to the #Chaiqiao Hub in #Ningbo. ZPMC is responsible for constructing the Q5 cable-stayed steel tower, steel box girder, and reinforcing steel components for the Qinglongmen navigation span bridge, as well as the prefabricated steel tower components and reinforcing steel for the Fodu side of the Shuangyumen navigation span bridge. Throughout the project, the team has applied innovative techniques, including the use of a steel rigid frame combined structure for the cable-stayed towers, and the overall installation of steel rigid frame combined structure girders, which has significantly accelerated construction.

The Beipanjiang Bridge—world’s highest bridge—soars 565 meters above the Beipan River, linking Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. The Beipanjiang Bridge, the highest bridge in the world, spans the Beipan River Gorge, connecting Yunnan and Guizhou provinces in China. Completed in 2016, it stands an impressive 565 meters (1,854 feet) above the river, making it the tallest bridge by vertical distance from the water. This cable-supported bridge stretches 1,341 meters (4,400 feet) in length and is part of the G56 Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway. Its construction reduces travel time between the two provinces from five hours to just over an hour. The bridge is not only a marvel of modern engineering but also significantly enhances transportation efficiency in the mountainous region. video rights : Respective owners DM for removal/credits #bridge #engineering #bridgeconstruction #cablestayedbridge #civilengineering #civilconstruction #engenharia #engenhariacivil #engenheiro #engenheirocivil #ingeniero #ingenierocivil

Progress on the O Mahurangi Penlink Project so far.
Our O Mahurangi Penlink team have reached a significant project milestone, completing the concrete pour for the first two piles on Pier 3, each at a massive 3m diameter and 47m deep. The Wēiti River Bridge, the centerpiece of the O Mahurangi Penlink project, will become the first extradosed bridge to be built in New Zealand. Watch the first stages of construction for the massive bridge foundations of the first pier that will rise up out of Wēiti River. Building some of the largest marine piles in the country is all in a day’s work for this team. These foundations and footings are large enough that they have their own impressive story. Take a look at what our team has achieved so far.

The Machanghe Grand Bridge in Guizhou, China, is a remarkable arch bridge project currently under construction. With an overall height of 164 meters (538 feet), it is designed to span a main distance of 260 meters (853 feet). This bridge is part of the Guiping East Guiyang Ring Road Expressway, a key infrastructure project in the mountainous region of Guizhou Province, aiming to improve connectivity in this challenging terrain. Construction on the bridge began as part of an ambitious infrastructure development effort, with the completion date expected in 2025. The structure features two CFST (Concrete-Filled Steel Tube) arches, making it a complex and durable design, capable of handling high loads typical for expressways. The project is led by prominent Chinese construction companies that specialize in large-scale infrastructure developments. Although specific names of the contracting companies were not immediately detailed, these projects are usually managed by experienced state-owned enterprises that excel in bridge engineering. This bridge is yet another example of China's impressive engineering prowess, contributing to the country's growing portfolio of record-breaking bridges, especially in Guizhou, which is home to many of the world's highest and longest bridges. #CivilEngineeringandConstruction #BridgeDesignConstruction #ChinaTheNextBigDeal. #ChinaConstruction #BesutyandDistinction.
