Habitat for Humanity International’s Post

At Habitat for Humanity, we know that a family should never have to spend more than 30% of their income on a home. Yet 1 in 3 families in the U.S. is above this threshold on housing costs. Through #HabitatVoicesInAction, local and state Habitat organizations have been uniting with partners, community members and volunteers to successfully advocate for housing policy changes that will improve access to affordable homes for millions of people across the United States. It is critical to address issues of home affordability at scale and this is why housing policies are so vital. 🏘️

Habitat for Humanity, the root for many, building the safe place, turning a house into a home, home -where hope and dreams reside, shelter from the storm, the working of hands, instruments, tools, machines and materials all come together in Love. Wow! I salute your service!

Affordable housing is a fundamental need and a pathway to stability for families. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for driving meaningful change through advocacy and community action. Let’s keep working together to make homeownership a reality for everyone! 🏠 #HousingForAll

WHO OVERSEES HABITAT FOR HUMANITY LV??? THEY LIE, AND CONNIVE THE PEOPLE THAT GET APPROVED FOR THEIR HOME REPAIRS PROGRAM!!! THEY DON'T FIX PROBLEMS. THEY JUST MAKE THEM LOOK BETTER. IT'S NOT FREE LIKE THEY SAY!! 5 YRS LEIN AGAINST YOUR HOUSE! THEIR MOTO IS NOT A HAND OUT BUT A HAND UP.. HOW IS THAT WHEN THEY DO NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY OF THEIR ACTIONS?? THEY NEED TO MORE PROFESSIONAL WITH PROVIDING A DETAILED CONTRACT!!! A VAGUE CONTRACT IS BAD! IF THEY REPLACE WINDOWS THAT HAD INSULATION IN THEM PRIOR AND THEY DO NOT REUSE OR REPLACE THE INSULATION THAT CAUSES AIR LEAKAGE AGAIN!!! THEY DIDN'T NEED TO REPLACE ALL THE WINDOWS! THEY COULD Have USED THAT MONEY TO FIX MORE CRUCIAL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE FIXED AND COVERED UP!! I NEED TO GET THEM TO FIX ALL THE DAMAGE THEY DID. THEY KEEP SAYING I HAVE A BILCO DOOR! I DO NOT HAVE THAT EXPENSIVE BILCO DOOR. I HAVE A HANDMADE RUSTING DOOR. I HOPE THEY DID NOT PUT A BILCO DOOR PRICE IN THE ALLOTMENT!!!

No one should be homeless, but especially working class. Americans should be able to afford a home.
