Today is World Lung Day and I wanted to continue raising awareness of the racial health gap in lung cancer. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women in the US, but Black men have the highest death rate of any other racial or ethnic group. To help address this problem, my colleagues and I at Johnson & Johnson are developing a unique framework to build scalable lung cancer screening programs across geographies and systems, focused on improving healthcare disparities and promoting equitable access to lung health.
