Interesting, right? This question implies they had faith… so, where was it? It’s challenging to hold on to faith when the boat we are in feels like it’s sinking. This question serves as a reminder that you do have faith, and when exercised, it can calm the storms of life. In our time? Usually not. Remember, the One in your boat has given you authority over the storms and promises peace that surpasses all understanding. → Stay anchored in faith: ✔️ Consider where your faith is during life's storms ✔️ Understand that you have been give the authority and the power to calm storms ✔️ Trust in the God who promises peace beyond all understanding Stay anchored in faith and let it guide you through the challenges.

You may have made a mess of things in your life, but God knows how to not only clean up the mess, but He knows how to bring you out to where nobody knows what you’ve been through. Your mistakes are not going to be your identity. Those negative labels people have tried to stick on you are coming off. Your own thoughts that have tried to convince you that you’ve missed your chance, just sit on the sidelines. Those strongholds are coming down. This is your time to break free from that negative mentality and become a prisoner of hope. God said there’s only one thing He wants to hold you captive: not fear, not guilt, not doubt, not discouragement. No, get locked up with hope. Believe that the trouble will give way to double. Believe that your past is forgiven. Believe that your future is bright. Believe that there is beauty for the ashes. Believe that favor surrounds you like a shield. Believe that God will do exceedingly, abundantly more than you can ask or think.

There are parts of us that see our dreams as a means to these secondary goods, while at the same time there are parts of us that have a sincere desire to see God glorified through our dreams and aspirations. So let’s talk Counter Strategy: * Get clear on these parts of you that are going after the secondary Good, and don’t condemn them, but enter into a relationship with them. * Ask them, “So you want money. Tell me why that’s important to you.” * Ask them, “Say you got that money. How do you think you’d feel?” The goal is to minister to those parts of us that may be afraid, or ashamed, or angry, and help them to trust in God too. How do you balance your dreams between seeking secondary goods and glorifying God? Share your insights and experiences below! 👇
