What if The Time Machine was a nonfiction? What would you write? A 15 year old girl learns that her ancestor was the actual time traveler from the book. She receives clues and has to find The Time Machine itself and race through time to save the world. What I love about what Michael has created, the story about the 15 year old girl who travels through time back and forth and back and forth is the beauty of just being present, one of the things I'm most excited. Doubt is watching Hail Center theaters teams take a modern story that is also science fiction, something we've never done on our stage before, and develop it into the piece that people will see. And Michael talked about having a cinematic under score for the show and we thought what better way to tell the story of a 15 year old time traveler than to hire a 15 year old composer. I had been following a local band Next Expectations for awhile and asked the lead songwriter for the group, Cameron Deadline. To try his hand at scoring the show, we'll talk with Cam in the next video, so get your tickets to The Time Machine at hct.org.
