Brilliant! Perfect analogy between competitive sport and finding success in business. Since I love building consensus and sales teams focused on winning, your commentary bears worth repeating: "...feeling connected toward a mission, sometimes greater than yourself, is the cornerstone of achievement." Each endeavor requires: *max effort, maximize genetics, maximize individual gifts *self-sacrifice (focus on family, lock arms, lift up/defend each other) *discipline (on/off-the-field, structured schedule, prioritize actions) *healthy living (diet, sleep, exercise, practice events, competition) *respect (selves, your org, support infrastructure, your opponents' skill) *throw in some self-made "luck" while developing new opportunities *winning mindset (do whatever it takes to develop this superpower: pray, read, meditate, hire a great coach, program ChatGPT to hypnotize you, etc. whatever means whatever!)
