#EarthDay is near and dear to our heart here at Hall's Culligan. 🌎 The theme this year is "Planet vs. Plastics," and in case you haven't heard, it's wildly important. Plastic has declared an all out war with our planet, and it's imperative that we all do our part to reach EARTHDAY.ORG's target of a 60% global reduction in plastic by 2040. While we're proud to say that our products help to eliminate more than 40 billion single-use plastic bottles annually, there is always more work to be done! Here are some simple steps each of us can take to reach this ambitious, but necessary goal: 1. Switch to a re-usable water bottle or travel mug 🥤 2. Look for products packaged in glass✅, not plastic❌ 3. Trade out your typical plastic toothbrush for a composable version 🚰 For more eco-friendly switches, check out this article from Super Bee blog⤵ https://lnkd.in/e-Dsuwid 🚨Remember, our planet needs our help!🚨 Let's use this next year to make #everydayearthday! 🏔🌊🌻 #planetvsplastics #earthday2024 #doyoupart

This day is a reminder for ALL of us to reflect on both our individual and collective efforts towards nurturing and protecting our planet🌍 . We ALL have a part to play - be it at Policy level by supporting greener policies or at household level where each and everyone of us adopts ecofriendly practices in our everyday lives e.g replacing the use of single use plastic bags with reusable shopping bags, using refillable/reusable water bottles/coffee cups, saying no to plastic straws/cutlery etc... This year's theme is ‘Planet vs Plastics’ and according to the official website of earthday.org, the organisation is committed “to end plastics for the sake of human and planetary health, demanding a 60% reduction in the production of ALL plastics by 2040″. So do your part wherever you are, no matter how small it may seem... It will add up to big results 📈 #earthday #earthdayeveryday #makeeverydayearthday #playyourpart #environmentalprotection #savetheplanet #sustainability #ecofriendly #beatplasticpollution #saynotoplastic 📸 Pinterest

Happy Earth Day 2024! While celebrating this place we call home, what are ways that you contribute to a more beautiful earth? A simple easy step is to decrease the consumption of plastic bottles. Absolutely Creative Promotions proudly offers Ocean Bottle water bottles. They're dedicated to turning the tide of plastic pollution. Ocean Bottle contributes approximately 15% of its revenue to these efforts, surpassing the standards set by organizations like 1% for the Planet. When you choose Ocean Bottle, you're not just investing in a premium product; you're becoming part of a movement toward cleaner, healthier oceans. With every purchase of an Ocean Bottle, you become a global change-maker. Each Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 25 lbs of ocean-bound plastic, equivalent to 1,000 plastic bottles. Imagine the collective impact we can make, where 1,000 Ocean Bottles can fund the collection of 1,000,000 plastic bottles. Picture a bright blue ball spinning, spinning free. Dizzy with eternity. We can all make this place we call home even more beautiful...be the change! #socialgiveback #earthdy2024 #oceanbottle #uselessplastic #savetheearth #throwingstones #ACP #absoutelycreativepromotions #bethechange #promotionalwaterbottles #hydrate #savetheplanet

Today is earth day and the theme this year is planet vs plastic 🌎🤜🏻🛢️. As I think an image speaks a thousand words, I would like to share this very simple visual from an old article from Reuters (link in comment) 🔗. 😮This image shows the size of all single use bottles sold in one month, across the the planet: 40 Billions, yes let's read that again, 40 Billions. Plastic is an incredible material, and we should be very grateful to have it in our life. For many people in the world, bottled water is the only viable way to drink clean water. 👉🏻So for all of us lucky ones, that actually don't need so much plastic in our life, drastically reducing buying singe use plastic items is probably one of the easiest, cheapest, less effort and less disruption environmental actions we can take. 💳Think it in this way, if there was a £2 fixed tax on every single use item we purchase, would we still use it? Well, we may not be paying that cost directly in the item, but we are or we will pay it in some other way. #earthday #plastic #singleuse

On this Earth Day, please join us in celebrating and preserving the amazing planet we call home. The United States observed the first Earth Day in 1970 to recognize the achievements of the environmental movement and raise awareness of the need to conserve the planet's resources for future generations. According to the environmental organization, EarthDay.org, more than 500 billion plastic bags were produced worldwide last year and there were 100 billion plastic beverage containers sold last year in the U.S. alone. Many plastics have a working life of a few minutes, followed by an afterlife of centuries. Even after plastics disintegrate, they remain as microplastics, minute particles permeating every niche of life on the planet. As a result, EarthDay.org started the “Planet vs. Plastics” challenge to see a 60% reduction in plastic production by the year 2040. We can all play a role in achieving this goal. Even small steps, like using a refillable water bottle or switching to paperless billing, can make a big difference. And, of course, remember to take a moment to step outside and appreciate everything the Earth has given us and all that it still has to offer. 🦄 Can you imagine a world without plastic?… Wait, can you, really? Most literally, plastic is ingrained deeply into the fabric of modern human life… as well as that of wildlife. It is also a big part of my short eco-fiction story for #PaleBlueDotFiction (link in the comments section). It is non-biodegradable, so it just keeps fragmenting into ever smaller pieces until it becomes microplastics. Plastic is in the ocean Plastic is in sea salt Plastic is in the animals’ bodies Plastic is in the clouds above Mount Fuji It’s everywhere. A question - the answer to which I think I already know - is: ❓ Can we live without plastic? Please share your visions of the world without plastic below. Is it a Utopia where there is no man-made material that Nature cannot process? Or is it a Dystopia where humans will have rolled back into the Stone Age? P.S. As rightfully pointed out, there is not even an emoji for plastic in the world dominated and invaded by it! #plastic #plasticpollution #microplastics #wastemanagement #oceanpollution #nonbiodegradable #savetheplanet #shortstories #ecofiction

Planet vs. Plastics.' With this theme, the organisation aims to reduce plastic dependency and make the earth plastic-free. Let us all list down our personal efforts ( apart from what we do in our organisations) to this commitment, mine are: - No single use plastics in my home ( except garbage bag, although it is recycled ) - No plastic water bottles / tiffins. - Consciously choosing ‘No’ for cutlery while ordering food online. - Motivate in my circle of influence for getting SUP free. #Earthday2024 #sustainability #earthday #plasticfree
