Revenue Generator fueled by insights and strategy | Former: University of Notre Dame Athletic Dept, General Mills, Conagra Brands, and Sazerac
It's easy to see deficiencies or tell when we're losing. There might be that feeling heads are going to roll. Maybe an "all hands on deck" meeting. Losses and deficiencies hurt more, pose more risk. It makes sense why the negative performance gets immediate attention. Often when we're winning, we forget to have a 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. → What on-going vs near-term actions facilitated the winning? → Was there a process/approach that increased odds of success? → Something our team did vs something a competitor did/didn't do? → One-time windfall or steady gains? → Good or lucky? We need to deconstruct our winning a bit to understand how we can repeat the success. Otherwise, we run the risk of living in random results and hope as a strategy. Or maybe even believe misattribution of results to actions. Hoisting the trophy, bonus check, etc., when we win is a natural response. We should celebrate! Let's just also take a beat to unpack how we won...some of its sustainable and some it's fortune. :) We need to know which is what to plan for future growth. In the meantime, check out the TOP ATTENDANCE GAINERS for men's and women's basketball programs. NEXT 5 TEAM, INC. is digging into how these teams grew their attendance over the past 3 years. P.S. Yes, some is the Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese effect. 6/ 20 attendance gaining WBB teams are in the BIG10. 2/20 are from the SEC. #insights #sportsmarketing #brandbuilding #wellplayedlife #womenssports

Just watched the Masters interview with Tiger Woods, who said he could still win if, "everything fell into place." Those of us who are golfers know why...the dudes body is a mess and surviving the weather and hills at Augusta National is half the battle. One wet slippery day (like last year) and he is toast. Of course, I pondered how this approach related to our world, in CX. Makes me wonder how much of what we do is highly dependent of things falling into place to win. How much of what we do happens through the sheer will and effort by those on our teams, and if one or any of them fail, it falls apart? Conversely how many of our CX deployments are like the old Tiger. They perform so well, that they can win even with their B game, suboptimal. So talk to me fellow CX'ers and be honest with yourself...how much of what you do works well even in sub optimal conditions and how much of your experience depends on the circumstances, creating failure points if everything doesn't go right?

I lead high-performing C-Suite Executives to feel strong, energized, look & feel their BEST with a whole-body approach to THRIVE & OPTIMIZE in life. Structuring your Physical Excellence through Fitness & Nutrition.
How long do you Fixate on Your Past Wins? The longer you fixate on your past wins... The less time you give yourself to create your future wins. This is most people's problem. They're voted prom king/queen. They make their first $100K in business. They win the high school championship game. They graduate college. They run a marathon. They get a promotion. Then they bask in the glory of these small wins for the rest of their life only to get their ass beat in the long run by the people who continue to show up every day to compete and execute at a high level. I'm not saying you shouldn't celebrate your wins. If you worked your ass off and accomplished something of significance ... you absolutely should......but...... if you hold onto these wins for too long... Make room for your ego to creep in... ...and quit executing on the tasks that will help you make progress because you think you've already "made it”… I can guarantee you ... those wins will be your last. Understand that your wins are a result of the actions you took to create them. ...and if your plan is to keep winning... You need to put yourself back in the game and commit yourself to the actions necessary to materialize your future wins. I have a rule for myself. I call it the "24-Hour Rule." If I worked hard to create a win ... I celebrate. As anyone should. ...But after 24 hours have passed... I refocus and get aggressive about achieving my future wins. You and I have far more to accomplish, so don't take your eye off the ball at the first sign of success. Otherwise ... you'll be sitting at the bar with the rest of the prom kings and queens talking about how life screwed you, however the truth be known, Life didn't screw you.......... You did. That's the truth. So are you ready to start re building YOU and building consistent New Wins? Then we need to chat and let's see first if we "FIT" Schedule your call today....it will be the best one you made. https://lnkd.in/dA52JVVd Coach Andy "Domin8or Fit"

Saracens RUFC former player, Jackson Wray, is now Head of Business Development at 100 & First, where they focus on using real-life inspiring stories to drive change. And I’d say there’s arguably nothing more inspiring than the team’s own change. Rewind to 2005. Saracens are spending a lot on players, but their staff turnover is high and they’re underperforming 📉 Fast-forward to 2011, and they win their first-ever Premiership title. What changed? Their direction did. They shifted to emphasizing people—which led to consistency, retention, and ultimately league wins 🏆 This culture of strong connection with people meant that when they were relegated in 2019, they didn’t fade from existence. Retaining most of their team, they climbed back to the Premiership, and won it again in 2023. It’s about knowing what’s needed to bring the team together to overcome challenges 💪 Dive into the full story in the newest Talking Transformation Series video: https://lnkd.in/gRC7H9Pa

Learning to win at your own pace rather than comparing yourself to others is crucial. Comparison is the thief of joy! On the journey, rather than compare - learn from those ahead of you and help those behind you on the path. #journey #competition
