As #HospiceCareWeek comes to an end, we want to highlight the vital work of our #HospiceShopHeroes 👇 💜 Rowcroft plays a key role in delivering vital end-of-life care to 2,500 patients and their loved ones across South Devon each year. 📈 However, we’re facing increasing financial pressures due to many factors including rising costs, a national drop in charitable giving, low and stagnating government funding, and a growing demand for end-of-life care. 👩⚕️ These challenges underscore the critical need for community support and funding to ensure the continuation of important services. By visiting and donating to our Rowcroft shops, YOU play a crucial role in ensuring we can continue to deliver end-of-life care across your local community. Make a difference: volunteer, shop or donate to a Rowcroft shop today. 👉 https://lnkd.in/euUxtKx4

🎄 Spreading Christmas Cheer Through Charitable Giving 🎁 At Ital Logistics Limited, we’ve always believed that the true spirit of Christmas is about giving back. That’s why, instead of sending corporate gifts, we dedicate our resources each year to support charities that are making a real difference—especially those that often lack the larger, more widespread support they deserve. This year, with input from our wonderful team, we are proud to make donations to the following organisations, all of which are doing incredible work in their communities: ▪️ Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter 🐾 ▪️ Coffee4Craig ☕ ▪️ Veterans Into Logistics 🎖️ ▪️ Animals In Distress Field Of Dreams 🐕 ▪️ Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC ⚽ These donations will help each of these charities continue to achieve their vital goals—whether it’s supporting vulnerable animals, assisting the homeless, providing opportunities for veterans, or giving young people the chance to thrive through sport. We are confident that these contributions will have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. At Ital, we’re proud to support causes that matter and believe in the importance of giving back to the community—not just at Christmas, but throughout the year. It’s our small way of making a positive difference and helping those who need it most. Here’s to a season of generosity, kindness, and making a real impact! 🌟 Follow the link below to learn more 👇 https://lnkd.in/dy_MFfb6 #ChristmasGiving #Transport #SeasonOfGiving #CommunityImpact #MakingADifference #CharitableDonations #GivingBack #FreightForwarding

If you follow the Public Interest Law Center's work in areas like housing, public education, and voting, you may not be as familiar with our Garden Justice Legal Initiative. Community gardens are critical anchors in Philadelphia's Black and Brown neighborhoods. They have been shown to increase access to fresh produce, improve air quality, and significantly reduce gun violence and overall crime. Yet in many gardens, the neighborhood residents who steward the land do not have legal title. Many gardens sit on parcels that are at risk of being lost at a tax foreclosure sale to developers or real estate speculators. The Public Interest Law Center represents non-profit gardens seeking legal access to the land they have been maintaining, in some cases for decades. We use litigation, advocacy, community education, and organizing strategies to preserve Philadelphia green space. As you prepare to make decisions about your year-end donations, please consider the Public Interest Law Center. Growing justice is what we do here. You can support us at pubintlaw.org/donate.
Your donation this Giving Season supports urban farms and community gardens that provide fresh, affordable food to neighborhoods in need. 🍎🌿 These vital resources strengthen communities, promote health, and empower neighbors to care for one another. Donate today and help grow justice: pubintlaw.org/donate #FoodSecurity #GivingTuesday #TogetherForJustice

As many of you know I represent the Arizona Professional Towing & Recovery Association. This year APTRA is trying something different for a fundraiser online. We have partnered with ZEFFY to assist us in this journey. Most of you know Towing Associations aren't government, they don't qualify for grants like the other stakeholders do. Not to say that there are grants out there, there are just not necessarily in the arena we play in. So, they run on volunteers, donations and membership to keep them operating and fund them. Unfortunately, there is not enough of all three. This is not just this association; it is most non-profit associations across the country. Donations of any amount can assist an association in their day-to-day operations. What would the donations be used for? operations, advocacy and education & training. As always out Slow Down, Move Over message is at the top of our list. I would appreciate your help during this giving season with a donation to APTRA. https://lnkd.in/gPydxHeR

I wonder how many of you reading this can really answer the questions: 'What is Hospice Care?' and 'How do Hospice Isle of Man make the difference to those who need their services?' (And whilst we're on that subject... 'Who can use the services offered by Hospice Isle of Man?') This article is a great intro to the world of hospice care and the struggles faced by Hospice Isle of Man, along with many other charities across the Island, when looking at sustainability for the future. Educating yourself about the positive impact Hospice Isle of Man has on the Island's community (and perhaps challenging some of your initial thoughts!) is so important for your (and your loved one's) future. I can hand on heart say I had only scratched the surface with my understanding of its purpose but feel so much more comfortable should a loved one need their services in the future (and will be well equipped to advise on how to make the most of what is available!). Get yourself a brew and have a read... you've a lot more to gain than lose 💗
We’re excited to share an article from this week’s Examiner which is the first in a series of articles looking to dispel some common misconceptions about Hospice and showcase the positive impact we have on the lives of those facing life-limiting illnesses. This article follows an interview with our CEO John Knight and shines a light on the importance of Hospice for the Island’s community as well as touching on the many varied services offered to patients and their loved ones (more on this to follow in the coming months...). John also addresses some of the tougher issues we face around funding and sustainability, introducing the idea of progressive partnerships amongst charities on the Island to use donations more wisely and strategically. We hope you enjoy learning more about our valuable services and how we truly make the difference to so many through our expert specialist palliative and end of life care.
