This just in! Formal negotiations have been launched on Japan’s association to #HorizonEurope. With this move, Japan joins the list of other like-minded non-EU countries with a strong science, innovation and technology profile – such as Canada, New Zealand or South Korea. This collaboration, in addition to the EU-Japan deal on data flows (July 2024) could be a game changer in ensuring competitiveness, in these times of volatile policy changes potentially shaking up the status quo, across the industry! https://lnkd.in/e2D62K3W

🤝 The Ukrainian Cluster Movement is growing stronger together with Ukrainian business 🇺🇦 🇪🇺 🚀 As part of the project "Internationalization of Ukrainian Clusters: How to Thrive in the EU Cluster Ecosystem" under the EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalisation programme, we are pleased to announce the readiness of 15 Ukrainian clusters for the @European Cluster Conference 2024 by European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), which will take place in Brussels on 6-8 May. For the third time, Quality Centre LLC has been selected as a partner in the preparation and organisation of the trip for the best representatives of Ukrainian clusters to international cluster conferences (EU Cluster Conference 2022 and Clusters Meet Regions in Kosice 2023). The outbreak of russian aggression has given rise to active unity and cooperation of Ukrainian enterprises from many industries. "The biggest wave of clustering and internationalisation of business, which has been many times discussed before, came in March 2022. Our choice was to unite the leading companies in their industries. This is evidenced by the Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Cluster, whose members employ more than 15,000 people," says Olga Trofymova, co-founder of the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA), cluster manager of the Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Cluster, and director of the Quality Centre. The selected participants are totally ready: they took part in two webinars (on developing their own profile on the conference platform and on conducting negotiations), attended individual meetings on the development of profiles and presentations. More than 15 potential partners are found for each of the participants in the identified partnership and projects. "Ukrainian clusters have a lot to share with the international community. And it's not just about demonstrating the incredible resilience that the whole world is talking about. It's about innovation, our potential for growth and scaling, which would not have happened without openness, trust and cooperation with international partners," commented Anna Haiduchok, Head of Component EU4Business Programe at GIZ Ukraine. So, we can confidently say that we have every reason to expect powerful results from the participation of Ukrainian cluster delegation at this event. In the near future, we will show the most influential clusters and their brightest representatives. After all, behind every successful step Ukraine makes on its way to internationalisation is a specific person or business that sets worthy examples for colleagues to follow. #eu4business, #StandForUkraine, #gizSME

Opportunities in coupling of Belt and Road Initiative, EAEU outweigh challenges — expert "It should be noted that the trend of expanding cooperation between China and Russia at the level of regions is uncontainable," Senior Researcher at the Chinese Taihe Institute Ding Jianwei noted BEIJING, September 23/ Favorable opportunities of Sino-Russian projects in coupling of the Belt and Road Initiative and the program of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) outweigh the challenges that the two countries face, Senior Researcher at the Chinese Taihe Institute, an expert at the Eurasian Institute of Social Development at the Development Research Center of the State Council of China Ding Jianwei told TASS. "It should be noted that the trend of expanding cooperation between China and Russia at the level of regions is uncontainable. And though in strategic coupling of projects in the One belt one union format (programs uniting Belt and Road and the EAEU are meant - TASS) with the participation of two countries there are difficulties the cooperation opportunities still outweigh challenges," he said. The coupling of such projects should be considered "as a new engine of the Sino-Russian relations that ensure new cooperation framework" and it will contribute both to strengthening of economic ties and maintaining stability, the expert noted, adding that "this is of great importance for development, cooperation and prosperity of the whole Eurasian continent." The pandemic and the Ukrainian crisis have seriously influenced the stability of international supplies, while geopolitical games have affected the globalization process, Ding Jianwei stressed. "This will possibly lead to regionalization of Chinese supply chains [of projects] of the Belt and Road [initiative], especially under the pressure being placed by the US on a respective high-tech strategic segment," the expert explained. Insufficient balance in the structure of trade, cultural and legal differences may become a constraining factor complicating the coupling of those programs of the Sino-Russian trade and economic development, he added. "However, if China and Russia fully use their own advantages, strengthen the strategic dialogue, form communication, ensure uninterrupted trade, financial integration and maintain interpersonal contacts, as well as concertedly create a single legal base and technical standards in the economic space, ensure the scale and level of investment in expansion of infrastructure construction, the roadmap on coupling of the strategies of economic development of the People’s Republic of China and Russia will be definitely implemented," the expert concluded. 🏠 Vietnam has become my second home, and I’ve dedicated myself to building bridges between Vietnam and the rest of the world—especially Poland, the country where I was born. 📜 This week marks a historic moment: the first visit of Vietnam's Prime Minister to Poland in 15 years. Vietnamese media call it a breakthrough in bilateral relations, and I couldn’t agree more. 📈 Vietnam is already Poland's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia, with trade increasing from $2.11 billion in 2020 to $3.43 billion in 2024. 🤝 These connections give me great optimism for the future of collaboration between our two nations. 🔗 On a smaller scale, I am proud to contribute to this growing bridge. 🏗️ Just a few days ago, together with my organization EVIT Organization we finalized a new collaboration between TechBank and a Polish leading technology company. 🧱It’s a small brick in a much larger structure, but every step counts in creating meaningful partnerships. 🚀 So I will keep going! If any Vietnamese enterprise is looking for help to expand their business to foreign markets, I am more than happy to use my skills, experience, and network to support you on this exciting journey.
