Read *carefully* below first, please :) To do what I do (pair brands with agencies) as well as I like to think I do it, I need to constantly be meeting new potential agency partners as well as evaluating and keeping tabs on my existing agency partners. 🔹🔹🔹Here's what agencies I'm particularly interested in meeting🔹🔹🔹 🔹 Website design + dev: particularly, agencies that, for the most part ONLY do website design + dev. Hypothetically, CMS/tech agnostic. Low end budgets typically $30-$50k, high end ~500k. 🔹 Full service b2b/demand gen/ABM focused agencies.  🔹 PR: both b2b and b2c 🔹 Creative 🔹 Social Media: similar to web -- social ONLY agencies. Agencies that handle organic and paid social, influencer, and not much else. 🔹 Hubspot focused agencies 🔹 CRM/Email/Loyalty: experience with franchise food a plus 🔹 Brand focused design agencies. 🔹 Paid Media: ideally looking for agencies that take on a wide variety of media spends. Working media dollars on the low end of $10k/mo -- high end, millions.  🔹 Amazon/Retail media focused agencies Now for the fun part. 🔸🔸🔸I am ONLY interested in agencies that fit these requirements🔸🔸🔸 🔸 Independently owned and operated  🔸 15-100 FTE headcount 🔸 Been around at least a year  🔸 US based 🔸 Open to exploration -- meaning they don't ONLY want massive business and understand that stuff takes time, and a foot in the door (within reason) is a win.  🔸 Strong communication/client service: the most important to me. If you said "oh I love this agency, but the guy is kind of a d*ck" I would say thanks but no thanks. Essentially, people who understand biz dev is hard and agency biz dev cannot be forced. If you are an agency that fits those requirements or a marketer that has had a great experience with an agency that fits those requirements, I'm all ears. DM's are open.

Develop your skill set to a point where you can tackle high-level issues. Then focus on a specific group of people that need that high-level skill.

Details 👇 * Entry level * 3+ years exp * Content Creator (vague AF) * Social media wizard * Guru of SEO * Loves Slack * Hates time off * Can handle a lot * Wants to hit ground running * Requires little training * Has fairy dust Salary: 🤷♂️ Companies, in their interest to trim PnL, are asking folks to do more with less. This is particularly true within marketing. Sometimes, the owners just don't understand marketing. Others could be more malicious. They know the job market isn't ideal They know ppl are getting more desperate for work. The reality is; the "unicorn" they seek really does not exist. Modern marketing requires teams of specialists. Content Creator could be 1/2 dozen or more diff roles. TikTok videos aren't the same as LinkedIn videos LinkedIn content isn't the same as Meta It's rare you find someone who can do design & copy well. Managing social media is a FT job; you can't be the creator & the manager. SEO requires 3-6 diff people to execute. In an effort to win the job; ppl will BS the hiring managers on their abilities to execute. This creates misaligned expectations on both fronts. Employer doesn't get what they need Employee gets frazzled & burnt out trying to juggle 5 roles. Company says "marketing doesn't work" However, there is another way. Fractional teams. For the price of 1-2 FT employees you can get fractional work from a cadre of folks including: - SEO Strategist - SEO writer - LinkedIn ghostwriter - Web developer - UI-UX Designer - Graphic Design - CRM support - Copywriting - Project mgmt - Analytics Unless your business is 8-9 figures; the likelihood you'd need any of the above skill sets FT is unlikely So why pay for them FT Why not just pay for what you need?
