I am thrilled to announce that a poster featuring a project I contributed to was recently showcased at the 2023 IEEE NSS MIC conference in Vancouver, presented by Jean-Baptiste Michaud. I worked on this project during my internship at Sherbrooke University (January-May 2023), as part of my ongoing undergraduate studies, which I am set to complete in December 2024. Our project introduces an approach in medical imaging, employing deep learning to infer Synthetic-CT maps from Non-Attenuation-Corrected PET images. This innovation is particularly crucial for high-resolution PET brain imaging where conventional CT is not available, addressing challenges in image quality metrics and 3D reconstruction. In this project my contributions were: - Enhancing the 3D Architecture of the U-Net. - Developing a Hyper-Parameter Tuning Pipeline. - Optimizing Hyper-parameters for Image Generation. 🌟 I'm thrilled to announce that I have been awarded the NSF CAREER Award for my research project titled "CAREER: Single-Fidelity vs. Multi-Fidelity Computer Experiments: Unveiling the Effectiveness of Multi-Fidelity Emulation"! https://lnkd.in/eJHr2G48 🔍 My research aims to tackle a fundamental question in computer simulation: is it more effective to use single-fidelity or multi-fidelity simulations? By conducting computational cost comparisons, the project sheds light on the trade-offs between these approaches and offers valuable insights for decision-making across various fields, from engineering to medical science and biology. One of the key highlights of my project is the development of novel statistical emulators and experimental designs, which leverages multi-fidelity simulations to enhance predictive accuracy while optimizing computational resources. 🙏 I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my incredible support system: my loving family, dedicated students, insightful mentors, inspiring collaborators, and supportive colleagues at Michigan State University.
