The movement tries to defy and break the shackles of gender.It is the right of the women to have equal opportunities and they demand nothing out of benevolence. The virtual federation is trying to bring about a change in the usual mindset of people within the locale.The attempt is to start the change from one's locality and giving it a global structure in the coming years.

I went to a tech mixer last night. It doesn’t matter which one, what stuck out to me was that there were significantly more men than women. This wouldn’t be the first time but I sure hope one of these days it’ll be the last time and I’ll walk into a room where I feel equally represented. Although it’s great for women to network with other women, I’m of the opinion women-only events are not the solution. Part of the problem is the absence of information, such as career advice or practical skills in growing a business. A lot of women (including me) don’t even know what we don’t know! How can you help? - Actively connect and engage with women on LinkedIn - If you’re part of a WhatsApp group for founders, invite women to join in on the conversation - If you hear about an event, share details and encourage females in your network to join Gender inequality is not a woman’s problem, it’s a social problem. We need events where men and women are listening, collaborating and learning. The more we interact, the more we will understand and accept each other as equals. You can’t be what you can’t see. (My current read, a brilliant portrayal of female history through objects!)

Rocío López Bueno, a Spanish influencer known as RoRo, has sparked controversy with her digital content. While her social media channels reach almost 3M followers, many feminist groups view her videos as submissive, aligning with movements like "tradwife" and "fundie baby voice." Critics mainly take issue with phrases like "My boyfriend wants a snack, so I'll cook it from scratch" and "My boyfriend is taking me to one of my favorite places, so I'll make myself a dress." The "tradwife" movement depicts a married woman adopting traditional gender roles, emphasizing homemaking and supporting her husband as the primary provider. This lifestyle choice reflects mid-20th-century ideals focused on domestic duties and family care. "Fundie baby voice" refers to a sweet and childish voice used by women, seen as a form of manipulation. This overly sweet and sing-song voice modifies adult women's behavior to "be sweet, obey, and speak in soft tones." This concept is prevalent in some communities worldwide. Opponents argue that it reflects an unequal power structure and an androcentric perspective, seeking always to please her boyfriend. In interviews, RoRo has stated that she considers herself a true feminist who advocates for equality between men and women. She claims that her content stems from her passion for cooking and crafts. Supporters of RoRo applaud the vision of collaboration between the couple and her genuine care for her boyfriend's needs. While social media is filled with arguments for and against her content and debates about content censorship, the influencer continues to garner public and digital attention, leading to more engagement, likes, and views. This has also created business opportunities for her, as she has been offered to author cookbooks, among other things. Her content has sparked discussions on traditional gender dynamics and prompts reflection on the role of social media in shaping public discourse and its potential for positive and negative influence. Today, I woke up to heartfelt messages from many male gender on my WhatsApp, expressing their concern about how the boy child receives little or no attention. This agitation was brought about as a result of the post I made yesterday.( Check my timeline to catch a glimpse) Same write-up was also posted on my WhatsApp Statuse. One of them said "Only a few NGOs caters for the needs of boys, most of them focus on girls" Their message resonated deeply with me. This is me voicing their concerns and adding my voice to theirs to amplify the message. Let's give the boy child the attention he deserves. They need it now more than ever. Should #politics be discussed on LinkedIn? I've been on #LinkedIn for 20 years now and for most of the time I said "no" to any participation in political discussions here. My thinking about political discussions on LinkedIn seemed to change during the latest round of #unemployment I experienced, in part due to my reevaluating my career path and considering moving into role where I could be an advocate for the #disabled, #elderly, and #LGBTQ communities. This misguided step into the political fray may be due to needing a sense of purpose while being #unemployed and/or naïveté on my part, feeling I was fighting the fighting for "my" causes. Aside from a few original posts of mine, my participation has pretty much consisted of my posting the same meme on posts by The Democratic Coalition. The meme which states "Keep Things Positive. Vote for Biden." has a two fold meaning: 1) Keeping things positive in online political discourse. 2) My preference for President. At times I have followed up my post by sharing what I believe to be objective factual articles to support the topic being discussed, or pointing out an obvious #troll and stating why I believe they are a troll. I have also used the negative comments by others as means to learn about internet #trolls. My experience and follow up research has been educational, informative, and sometimes humorous. This experience has also come with some negative experiences which I have learned to deal with. The positive take away from all of this is that I have learned things, and gained experience which may prove helpful as I explore being an advocate for my causes (whatever that becomes) I have also learned I need to balance my time, and fight the fight when it's worth it, and ignore taunts of trolls who may be real individuals with their own opinions or fake accounts set up by whoever for whatever reasons. One last things I have learned is to ask is "Why would someone use an initial rather than their last name on a business networking site such as LinkedIn?" And yes, I admit the term troll rather than advocate may apply to my political participation here on LinkedIn, and that is something for me to think about.

And yet, we’re just poisoning you to think that your body is your commodity and that’s what that’s what will get you the big ticket in life.” There is such a big-picture narrative that really needs to be challenged. LinkedIn as a person I go by another name than my govt ID. Every job, person, collaborator, etc knows this. I’m still me and clear can physically verify that, but I can’t verify my account due to my text name. A difference of 7 characters means… I’m not allowed to access a feature meant for safety? When will you allow for accessibility of not using born/dead names. Not sure this feature was thought through on inclusivity for queer ppl and how it can limit us. And this goes for all social verifications. I feel it’s just another way to limit people and lump them into different groups for the intended purpose of excluding those they don’t care to include. We really need to rethink our social products and why we allow them such unbalanced control. (Hence why I don’t use this platform as much)

There was a time when I spoke with one of my colleagues at work, and I realized that she often struggles with some of her task deliverables and sometimes gets overwhelmed. Having spoken with her, I realized that she tackles these tasks alone and lacks a supportive community or people to turn to. I have a story to share with you about the incident that happened on this Women's Day in my office. . . . Unfortunately, on Women's Day, it was a weekend here. As I was fully engaged with family and friends, I couldn't get into the pool of creative writing on LinkedIn this time. As our creative head suggested, I wrote 2 content for International Women's Day based on gender-social-financial-poltical inequalities women suffering. Option 1: SORRY! We cannot create a poster of a weak or a strong woman Consider her as a human #womenisalsoahuman Option 2 : Often WOMEN is the topic. Wait, Isn't they still just a topic? Women deserve all rights and opportunities not for the reason they are strong, weak, or for any other labels. But as a human being. As I always do, I shared it with the WhatsApp group and asked my colleagues to share their feedback. To my surprise, at the very next moment, our digital marketing manager opined that the first option looked aggressive. And the other guy said both are a little controversial. and at last, our General Manager asked me to polish it with some other words and to avoid the word 'Consider', as there are no such circumstances as 'not considering' a woman as a human in this age. Finally, I wrote ''SORRY! We cannot create a poster of a strong or a weak women They belong to us. Human Beings! #equalrights #equalopportunities . . Both men and women are involved in the making of content and successfully make it better with no chances of political incorrectness.
