Gave two public lectures yesterday on ancient Dacia at the Drents Museum in Assen. Summary: "In Ancient History, Dacia is seen as a marginal area: a ‘frontier’ land located at the periphery of the great civilizations of the Classical World, its history usually relegated to a larger narrative of Roman history. In this lecture, we will do differently: we will approach the multi-ethnic ancient region commonly known as Dacia as a cultural, political and economic force of its own, and in addition a crossroads of many cultures. We will discuss the rise and fall of the kingdom of Dacia in the later Hellenistic period from a non-Roman perspective. Using objects in the exhibition, we will look at the connections between the Dacians and surrounding Eurasian cultures."

Day 10 #museum30 Observe. Observation is a powerful methodology for evaluating museum exhibitions. It complements other techniques such as interviews, focus groups and questionnaires because it reveals what visitors overlook, ignore, forget or choose not to mention. And it provides much more reliable measurements of dwell times than visitors’ self-report. #exhibition #exhibitions #visitorexperience #visitorengagement #exhibitiondesign #museums #museum #heritage #evaluation #heritage

We then feel National Heritage is nothing an orderly arrangement of scenic management. By A.DE🌱 🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🏠🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
