I cannot agree more with the author’s sentiments. As someone who had the honor to be involved with the development of the Volt propulsion system, and also lead the development of a dual traction inverter for a domestic Chinese series hybrid drive unit manufacturer, I feel strongly that the EREV platform should be revived and committed to long term. It would be especially effective in light-duty trucks since they are often called upon for towing and hauling which complicates the BEV range anxiety problem. My dream: An EREV Silverado.
