A Message to HR Directors and Recruiters: I want to share a recent experience in the hope that it brings more empathy and consideration to hiring processes. After securing a dream job, signing the contract, and resigning from my current position, I had been preparing for 2 months to move from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. However, just three days before my planned move, I received an email from HR informing me that the offer was taken back due to internal decisions, with no further explanation. Despite my attempts to understand the reasons behind this decision, my communications were met with silence. This left me in a precarious situation, without a job, a work visa, or even a home, as I had already closed my rental agreement in Abu Dhabi. I was utterly devastated and lost. This experience has highlighted the importance of careful consideration and empathy when making employment decisions. It is crucial for HR professionals to recognize the profound impact such decisions have on individuals' lives. While I am fortunate enough to not have dependents relying on me (a family with children), many others are not in the same position, and such abrupt changes can have devastating consequences. I am grateful to my current organization and my director at Courtyard, who allowed me to stay, preventing a potentially difficult situation. I hope my story serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy and clear communication in the hiring process. Thank you for reading, and I hope recruiters can work towards a more considerate and supportive professional environment in this day and age. One last thing that I have taken upon myself to learn is that truly everything happens for a reason, and I know something better is waiting for me at the end of the tunnel. You just need to keep going. 😊

7 Days into the job search in Dubai, here are some experiences I'd like to share: 1) Reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn only works if they are actively looking for a profile like yours. I've contacted hundreds of recruiters, but only two have shared relevant opportunities with me. 2) Developing a routine, keeping the house clean, and watching a few shows have helped maintain a positive mindset during this process. Staying productive and taking breaks is key. 3) Not having UAE experience becomes the biggest hurdle for those with experiences elsewhere. It makes you too senior for a junior role and irrelevant for a senior role. 4) Cooking will cost you a fraction of what you might spend ordering or dining out. It's a great way to save money and try new recipes. 5) Make use of the metro, buses, and trams and go out. Exploring the city is a great way to stay positive and enjoy the experience. 6) Reconnect with friends and relatives in the city, learn about their journey here and what worked and did not work for them in their job searches. Planning to share my experiences here till I find employment here in the UAE. -- For those encountering my profile for the first time, I bring seven years of diverse professional experience across Real Estate, Auditing, Software/IT, Retail, Manufacturing, and BPO industries, having worked with local, national, and multinational organizations. I am actively exploring opportunities as both an employee and consultant in the following domains: - Business Training / Learning & Development - Organizational-wide Competency Framework Development - Organization and Culture Development - Corporate and Internal Communication - Employer Branding and Social Media Management - Employee Engagement and Retention - Event & Project Management - Recruitment and Selection - Podcast/Interview Hosting - Esports Commentary and Hosting If you're a hiring manager or considering outsourcing any of the aforementioned areas, or if you can assist me in connecting with job opportunities in the UAE and offer support with the job search, I would sincerely appreciate connecting with you! #dubai #jobsearch #seekingnewopportunities #networking

❌HR have ruined HR❌ Happy Monday, everyone! 🌟 Unlike many, I genuinely love Mondays—it's a fresh start to a promising week! Today, as I scrolled through LinkedIn, I stumbled upon several posts criticizing today's HR practices 😔. Personally, I arrived in Dubai without any Dubai experience or a degree. Aaronz & Co. saw potential in me, despite my lack of experience and gave me a chance. That belief fuels my determination every day! Though I'm new to this field, I believe my voice matters. At Aaronz & Co. we do things differently. Here, it's not policies over people—it's about nurturing dreams and livelihoods. Starting my journey in HR recruitment, I was taught to look beyond qualifications: skills, life experiences, and attitude matter most. Everyone has a unique story, and we feel privileged when they share it with us. So here's the takeaway: while some big firms may have lost their human touch, we haven't. Don't let negativity deter you from applying. Every candidate deserves a fair shot to shine. Even if it doesn't pan out, it's about taking that leap. To my fellow HR professionals, remember, applicants are people with aspirations, just like us. Look beyond the CV—value their skills and potential. Let's prioritize giving everyone a fair chance to succeed based on their story, not just what's on paper. By the way, Aaronz & Co. is hiring for new and experienced Property Advisors! Interested? Send your CV to me at anastasia.c@aaronz.co I'd love to hear from you! 😊 #hr #humanresources #cv #weareaaronz #aaronzandco #fair #opportunity

Operational Jobs vs. Office Jobs: Which Is Better? I started my career in an operational role, and it taught me value of hands-on experience For a while I work in office and those experiences unique lessons for me as well… The debate between operational jobs and office jobs has been ongoing for years. But the truth is, the answer depends on what you're looking for in a career. Operational Jobs: These roles often involve hands-on work, direct interaction with products or services, and a dynamic environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, enjoy problem-solving on the fly, and love seeing the immediate impact of your work, operational roles might be your calling. They often offer more physical activity and the chance to be on the ground, making things happen. Office Jobs: On the other hand, office jobs typically offer a more structured environment, with set hours and tasks. These roles often involve strategic planning, data analysis, and project management. If you excel in communication, enjoy collaborating with teams, and prefer a predictable routine, an office role could be ideal. These jobs often provide opportunities for growth within corporate structures and the chance to develop specialized skills. Which is better? It depends on your personal preferences, career goals, and what brings you fulfillment. Operational jobs can offer a sense of accomplishment through tangible results, while office jobs can provide stability and opportunities for career advancement. In the end, the "better" choice is the one that aligns with your strengths, interests, and long-term aspirations. Both paths have their unique challenges and rewards. What do you think? Which one suits you better? … #CareerChoices #OperationalJobs #OfficeJobs #CareerDevelopment #JobSatisfaction … Koç Holding Sabanci Holding Turkish Airlines Arçelik-LG turktelekom AnadoluGroup.az Akbank Yapı Kredi Beko Global Emirates Emaar Dubai Holding Dubai Electricity & Water Authority - DEWA Jumeirah DPWorld Foundation Majid Al Futtaim DAMAC Properties e& UAE Sobha Realty Danube Properties Azizi Developments Nakheel Meraas Binghatti SAMANA Developers Ellington Properties Development LLC Tiger Properties

🌟 **Accepting the Challenge: Proving the Power of Experience and Connections** 🌟 Yesterday, I had an interesting conversation with a hiring manager from Dubai. He challenged my belief that, despite my 7 years of experience, it would be difficult for me to secure a job in the Dubai market. His argument was that experience, dedication of work and your hardwork isn't enough. I respectfully disagreed. With 90% of my connections being HR professionals, hiring managers, and recruiters, I believe in the power of networking and the value of experience. Many of you have demonstrated kindness and an understanding of the value that experienced professionals bring to the table. So, I’m accepting this challenge: I aim to secure a job in Dubai within the next 15 days, leveraging my experience and the support of my professional network. I’m reaching out to all the recruiters, hiring managers, and HR professionals in my network: If you know of any opportunities or can provide guidance, please get in touch. Let’s prove that experience and strong professional relationships do matter! Thank you in advance for your support. #jobsearch #DubaiJobs #HR #Recruitment #ExperienceMatters #Networking #JobChallenge

Office Administrator | Executive HR Assistant | Facilities Manager | Personal Assistant to GM & CEO.
The Importance of Paying Attention to Detail In today’s fast-paced business environment, especially in the dynamic e-commerce sector, attention to detail is crucial in ensuring operations run smoothly. As someone who has worn multiple hats—Office Manager, Executive HR Assistant, Facilities Manager, and Executive PA to general managers and CEOs—I've come to appreciate how vital this skill is across all these roles. Office Management: Overseeing an office is more than just managing day-to-day tasks; it involves ensuring that everything functions seamlessly. A small oversight, such as an incomplete supply order, can lead to delays or inefficiencies. Maintaining records, organizing files, and ensuring that administrative processes are tight requires a keen eye for detail. Executive HR Assistant: In human resources, accuracy is paramount when handling sensitive employee data, contracts, payroll, and compliance. One mistake in documentation or a missed policy detail can result in regulatory penalties or employee dissatisfaction. Precision in managing HR operations helps maintain a positive company culture and keeps the organization compliant. Facilities Management: Ensuring that a workspace is safe, efficient, and fully operational requires ongoing attention to detail. From handling building maintenance schedules to ensuring health and safety compliance, even minor details, like a malfunctioning air conditioning system, can disrupt workflow or affect employee well-being. Executive PA to GMs and CEOs: In this role, you become the gatekeeper of time and communication. Scheduling, coordinating meetings, managing high-level communications, and ensuring that all relevant materials are prepared are tasks that cannot afford even the smallest error. The CEO’s ability to focus on strategic decisions often depends on the PA’s meticulous organizational skills. In Dubai, where business moves quickly and e-commerce companies thrive in a competitive market, having a sharp focus on details ensures that nothing falls through the cracks. It’s this focus that helps me create value in every aspect of the work I do, enabling leaders to make better decisions and fostering smoother business operations. As I continue my journey in this vibrant sector, I remain committed to honing this essential skill and contributing to organizational success through precision, accuracy, and strategic oversight. #OfficeManagement #HR #ExecutiveAssistant #FacilitiesManagement #Ecommerce #AttentionToDetail #LeadershipSupport #Dubai

Rec2Rec Director & Partner | Recruitment Agency Specialist | Rec2Rec for United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪, Singapore 🇸🇬, Hong Kong 🇭🇰, the UK 🇬🇧, the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Germany 🇩🇪 | Since 2009!
🇦🇪 🌍 The Dubai Advantage for Working Mum Recruiters 🌎 🇦🇪 “I think one of the hardest things about being a woman in the world today is that people expect you to raise your children as if you don’t work, and work as if you don’t have children.” This quote resonates deeply with me, not just as a recruiter but as a working mum of two. Having worked across five different countries as an international recruiter, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of trying to balance a thriving career with the demands of raising a family. It’s not always easy, especially in environments where the expectation is to be "always on," without truly considering the needs of working mums. But Dubai 🇦🇪 changed that for me. Here’s why Dubai has been the best proposition for me and my family: 🌟 Flexible Work Arrangements: In Dubai, many recruitment agencies understand that success isn’t about clocking in hours but about delivering results. This flexibility has allowed me to structure my day around my children’s needs, from school runs to family time, without compromising my career. 🌴 A Family-Friendly Environment: Dubai is incredibly family-oriented, offering a safe and vibrant lifestyle with world-class schools, healthcare, and leisure activities. My kids have thrived here, and it’s made a huge difference in our overall quality of life. 💼 Career Growth Opportunities: The recruitment market in Dubai is booming, and the demand for top talent is ever-increasing. As a recruiter here, I’ve been able to grow my career significantly while still being there for my kids when they need me. 🏖️ A Better Work-Life Balance: In Dubai, I’ve found a work culture that respects both my professional ambitions and my role as a mum. It’s a unique blend that allows me to succeed in my career without sacrificing precious family time. 📩 If you’re a recruiter with 2+ years of 360 agency recruitment experience, I encourage you to reach out for a confidential conversation. Let’s discuss the incredible opportunities that could be waiting for you in Dubai, where you can truly have it all❗ #DubaiRecruitment #WorkingMum #WorkLifeBalance #Rec2Rec
