Executive VP Business Development & Strategy at Anza | Growing Technical and Commercial Teams in Solar and Energy Storage
The best question I got at RE+ last week: "so what are you still doing at Anza?" 🤔 I thought for a moment, and it's pretty obvious. The people! It's just really fun to come to work (remotely) every day alongside people who are intellectually curious, collaborative, and passionate about our mission to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy. That spirit may be captured best in our Solutions Engineer role. SEs at Anza leverage their solar and storage technology experience every day, working with customers and potential customers to find new ways to make sense of the ever-changing landscape of product options. Our Solutions Engineers help developers make decisions like whether to invest in that marginal project that *might* pencil, with the right design and product choices. Whether to invest (and how) in a domestic content strategy. Whether one product is optimal across all your projects, or if you should optimize technology selection on every project. Sound like you, or someone that you've worked with? Let me know! https://lnkd.in/egU_xx7B

Fractional Leader | I build systems, strategy, and programs to enable high-growth climate organizations to achieve their sales goals | Former Sunrun, Sunlight Financial
How do you explain clean energy to a 7-year-old? This morning I got to find out, when I spoke to a 1st grade class about solar energy (and clean energy more broadly). This really forced me to think about the topic in a back-to-basics kind of way, especially for the Q&A portion when the students peppered me with all flavors of questions, including: 🔌 How do you get the power from the solar panels into the homes and appliances? ❓ Why did I pick my job? 🕛 What time do I have to go to work every day? 🛠 Do I (personally) make the panels? 🏠 How many solar panels go on each building? ⚡ Why can we make electricity out of water (hydropower) but we can’t let electricity touch water? If you’re interested in seeing the presentation I created for this let me know and I’d be happy to share the deck. ⬇ I've also included the image that I ended up using to give a high-level explanation of how solar power works (source: Time for Kids magazine). Finally, this experience renewed my appreciation for our teachers. Managing a class of 7-year-olds is no easy task! #solareducators #cleanenergy #solarenergy
