Transforming human beings to build "The Productive Mindset" to experience fulfillment | LinkedIn Strategist | Bestselling Author | Professional Speaker | Business Consultant | LinkedIn Top Voice | Advisory Council HBR
Why Maintaining Flavor Matters. Our emotions often resemble a small pack of mixed pickle - varied, complex, and sometimes unpredictable. Just like each piece of pickle contributes to the overall taste, our emotions play a crucial role in shaping our experiences and #productivity. Think about it - when you open a jar of mixed pickle, you're greeted with an array of flavors, each contributing its unique taste to the ensemble. Similarly, our emotions, whether it's excitement, joy, stress, or sadness, color our daily lives and impact how we approach tasks and challenges. But here's the secret just as we strive to maintain the perfect balance of flavors in a jar of pickle, we also need to ensure that our emotions are in check to maintain productivity and overall well-being. Too much of one emotion can overpower the others, leading to imbalance and potential burnout. So, how do we ensure that our emotional pickle jar remains flavorful and balanced? 1. Acknowledge and Embrace: Just like we savor the tanginess of a pickle, acknowledge and embrace all your emotions. They're part of what makes you human. 2. Balance is Key: Just as a well-balanced pickle combines sweet, sour, and spicy, aim for balance in your emotions. Find ways to manage stress, cultivate joy, and navigate challenges with resilience. 3. Mindful Consumption: Just as you wouldn't devour a whole jar of pickle in one sitting, practice mindful consumption of your emotions. Take time to reflect, process, and respond rather than react impulsively. 4. Mix It Up: Experiment with different emotional flavors! Just as a pickle jar benefits from variety, explore different emotions and experiences to add richness to your life. Ultimately, life should be as tasty as the pickle - a delightful blend of flavors and experiences. By tending to our emotional well-being and maintaining the right balance, we can ensure that each day is as flavorful and fulfilling as the next. Let me know what flavour is your pickle?

I was a glorified routine and ritual REBEL!! Yup, I was anti-routine (I mean yes we have shit that has to get done but, generally flying by the seat of my pants because… middle fingers up to the routine, the 5am club, the rigid, forced, pomodoro poppycock). I’m telling you I was the poster child of routine resistance because I did NOT want to be confined to the box society put me in. Maybe you’re feeling the same with a side of delulu and a little next level out of control. Well, it is time…to get off the dang hamster wheel. If I can, you most definitely can too. YES, you can create a fulfilling routine + ritual that supports your growth, inner healing and allows you to shift from chaos to calm. NO, it doesn’t happen overnight. BUT, heck yes you can feel the shifts immediately. The difference? The approach. The routines + rituals you’ve tried and failed time and time again, weren’t failures. They were trials and experiments to figure out what works and what doesn’t! I get it, I’ve been there. Is this for me? That fear of buying in and letting yourself down again with something else that just isn’t sustainable. Not this time. If you’re feeling calling to this and you’re curious — reach out. Timing is everything. I know what happens when you impulsively buy something that isn’t a fit (I am NOT here for that) so happy to chat in the DMs if you’re wondering if the 30-day ritual + routine reboot is for you. I’ll leave you with this… if you’ve tried it all and haven’t maintained a flow that allows you to thrive whilst juggling the chaos of this thing we call life — it’s not a you thing. This is not a one size fits all approach and it’s not a box confining us from our incredible brilliance. It’s an opportunity to build a sustainable, tailored approach to everyday life that puts you in control so you can have space for the surprise curveballs …plus you get to hang with like-minded women who see you. We start Tuesday March 26th! DM me! I want you to feel comfy (with a side of discomfort, because #growth) 😆 Or for more deets, check out the link 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ewPaRA8v

SMELLS THAT MAKE YOU SMILE! Smells stimulate specific emotions and can affect your mind and behaviour more than you realise. In the world of advertising and marketing, smells are used to get you into a ‘spending mode’ (like the aromas piped around shops) or you may be advised to make fresh coffee just before people view your home. ‘Scent marketing’ has become rather scientific with numerous smells now being produced artificially so they can be presented to you in public spaces. Aromas can conjure up powerful memories in just seconds. On the positive side, they can calm you down, make you less stressed, and give you a good feeling overall. Alternatively, certain smells might relate to bad memories. What you feel about a smell is often based on your culture, where you live in the world, how you have been brought up, and many other factors. As smells subconsciously connect you to people and experiences from your past, they can resurrect memories of: * Home – the aroma of certain recipes * Holidays – the salty air of the seaside * Homework – the musty scent of books * Relatives – the fragrance of different people * School – the strange smell of old corridors The best smells are ones that make you smile instantly as they’re generally related to memories of happy and fun times such as: * Rain * Flowers * Sandalwood * Hot chocolate * Newly mown lawns * Freshly baked bread * Hotdogs at fairgrounds * Clothes that have just been washed What smells make YOU smile? And what about at work or in business? Does a newly opened ream of paper excite you?? What about the smell of fudge that someone has brought in to share (as in my photo below)? I look forward to hearing your thoughts, feedback, or experiences! Joy #Happiness #PersonalDevelopment #SelfDevelopment #Wellbeing 😊 For more musings, do join me at #MuseWithJOY © Dr Joy Madden

As a sleep evangelist and avid night snacker, the concept of "slumber snacking" came naturally, so I decided to use it as my inspiration for this ad. Let's unpack the psychological principles that I've used to communicate the message that Nightcap Nibbles is "The Slumber Snack." 1. Personification: The ad anthropomorphizes the snacks by giving them eyes and refers to them as "The Slumber Snack." This creates an emotional connection, making the product more relatable and friendly. 2. Concise Messaging: The copy "Sleep wins ALWAYS" reinforces the idea that these snacks are the key to "winning" the battle against insomnia or restlessness. 3. Visual Metaphor: The image depicts the snacks winning the game of tic-tac-toe, suggesting that consumption is the way to "win" at getting good sleep. 4. Color Psychology: The deep purple background is associated with relaxation and sleep, while the teal accents evoke feelings of calmness and well-being. The green check-mark like stroke also creates a colored contrast that symbolizes winning. 5. Authority: The company name "Nightcap Nibbles" and its association with "The Slumber Group" create a sense of authority and expertise in the realm of sleep products. 6. Call To Action: The inclusion of the URL encourages potential customers to visit the website with the attendant goal of purchasing "The Slumber Snack." Let me know your thoughts about this ad in the comments.🔽👇 #Ads #Marketing #Creative #Campaign

Feeling Overwhelmed? Try the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique (No, It’s Not a New Dance Move!) 🕺🌟 When everything feels like it’s spinning out of control, the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique is a great way to bring yourself back to center. Start by taking a good look around and naming 5 things you see. Really notice their colors, shapes, and textures. Then, reach out and touch 4 different objects. Feel their textures or temperatures—whatever you can sense. Next, listen for 3 sounds, whether it's the hum of your computer or the chatter in the background. After that, identify 2 different scents, like the smell of your coffee or a fresh breeze. Finally, focus on 1 taste, like a sip of your drink or a bite of your snack. By grounding yourself this way, you pull your mind back to the present and ease that feeling of overwhelm. It’s a simple yet effective way to add a touch of mindfulness to your day. Try it the next time you’re feeling stressed and see how much more calm and centered you can become! 💫 #GroundingTechnique #5-4-3-2-1 #PresentMoment #StressManagement #MindfulLiving #FocusOnNow

Habit Zone: Navigating the Daily Dance of Routines. In the swirling dance of daily life, habits are the secret choreographers, guiding our steps with quiet precision. They're the autopilot of our actions, allowing our minds to wander while our bodies follow familiar routines. Imagine this: You're out for your evening run, but your brain is stuck in morning mode. You inadvertently greet your neighbors with a cheerful "Good morning!" as dusk settles around you. It's a harmless slip, but it reveals the power of habit, and how it can override even the most obvious cues. Back home, you step into the shower, and without a second thought, reach for the razor. But wait — it's evening, you don't need to shave! Yet, there you are, lathering up, your mind lost in the soothing rhythm of routine. Habits, you see, are like silent guardians, quietly shaping our days. They're formed in the deep recesses of our brains, where routine meets comfort. Nail biting, morning greetings, even the way we search the internet — all guided by these silent scripts. And for businesses, habits are gold mines waiting to be tapped. They're the invisible threads that tie customers to products, promising a lifetime of loyalty. From credit cards to social media apps, habit-forming products hold the key to unlocking untold riches. But not all habits are created equal. Some, like Google searches, become ingrained in our daily rituals. Others, like taking a daily vitamin, offer fleeting comfort without the iron grip of necessity. In the battle of vitamins versus painkillers, habit-forming products are both. They offer a gentle nudge of pleasure and a soothing balm of relief. They scratch our itches, fulfilling needs we didn't even know we had. So next time you find yourself reaching for your phone or saying "Good morning" at night, remember the power of habit. It's the silent force shaping our lives, guiding us through the habit zone with quiet determination.😃 @Nir Eyal, #Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products
