The DBS Foundation Grant is back, and on the lookout for the most innovative and impactful businesses in Asia! At DBS Foundation, we’re committed to uplifting the lives and livelihoods of the most vulnerable amongst us. If you’re a social enterprise or small-and-medium enterprise (SME) that: ✔️ Shares our vision of a more inclusive world where no one is left behind; ✔️ Has an innovative, impactful and scalable solution/ business that helps vulnerable communities; ✔️ Has minimally two years of experience in creating social impact, and; ✔️ Has clear plans to grow your business and impact moving forward; We want to support you! We understand the challenges that businesses for impact face, and are here to help you navigate through them and fulfil your potential. Since 2015, the DBS Foundation Grant has helped more than 140 purpose-driven businesses to scale their business and impact. Beyond providing grants of up to SGD 250,000, we also tap on the bank’s expertise, resources and network to help our grantees with capacity-building, mentorship, preferential banking solutions, and other support measures. Two addictions have yet to be tried: Prem (Love) and Seva (Service). These are more potent than money and work. Largely, because unlike believing in an employer/owner, Prem and Seva makes us our own employer/owner. In India, there are ashrams every few kilometres and ashrams practice the Prem & Seva way of living instead of the 'money and work' way of living. The logic is a perfect blend of secularism, equality, and capitalism. All work that is important is equal, all people are equal and do all work in rotation. The central line of reasoning of the cooperation way of living is "why do we serve? Because there's love in us. Why is there love in us? Because we serve." Unlike the competition/money way of living, where the central line of reasoning is "why do we work? Because we need money to survive. Why can't we survive without money? Because we only own our energy, we don't own what our energy needs to work on - land/factory etc. Who owns it? The guy who has the money to pay us so we can live." In an indirect way of life, can money ever become love? Clearly not. Can work become service? Nope. So the question to ask is, should love be lost for money? Or should money become love? What does money need to do to become love?

Amazing opportunity for all social impact #startups!
