Harbor Freight clearly has a system that works.

Is 485 sqft for $1,525 a month for a warehouse in Texas too expensive? I think so. However, it is conveniently located near DFW airport and has some next level amenities. The thing is, I could’ve easily rented a 1,000 sqft warehouse for $1,400/mo but it didn’t have: • A/C • It was old • Needed paint • Cracked floors • I’d need to buy furniture, shelving, pallet jacks, cooling fans… All for $5,000+. Now here are the amenities of the boujee warehouse I’m considering: • A/C • Wi-Fi • Power • Dollies • Forklift • Lounge • Kitchen • On-site support • Shipping stations • Conference rooms • Heavy duty shelving • 24/7 secured access • Industrial loading docks • Shipping & receiving zone My rationale: This is going to save us a TON of time & money in the short term. The clock is ticking and we’re dialed in on franchising and I don’t think it’s worth shifting our resources to setup this warehouse at a cheaper price. But damn, paying $3.15/sqft still burns…especially in Texas. Should I pull the trigger?

My...how the #warehousing industry has grown in #LasVegas: when we opened the Global Logistics and Fulfillment #3PL facility in #Nevada at the start of 2018, there were around 43,000 transportation and warehouse employees in the metro region... Six years (and a LOT of square footage) later, and Southern Nevada warehousing employment has grown by 66% to nearly 72,000 employees... Admittedly - our casinos and hotels have a LOT more employees (heck, who doesn't like to visit the Strip or Fremont Street every now and then?) - but #logistics and warehousing still makes up an important part of the Las Vegas economy (and are still growing)...

Dry Van Freight Market Update Week 35: ~Retail events like Labor Day Sales, Back-to-School shopping, and upcoming Halloween parties are expected to increase truckload volumes in the Allentown, Harrisburg, & Philly markets.  ~Allentown has seen truckload volumes increase by 5.4% in the last month which has raised spot rates up over 2% of this time frame last year. ~Allentown > Charlotte paid trucks an average of $1.50/mile which is $0.17/mile higher than Week 35 2023. ~Harrisburg > Boston averaged $3.19/mile which is also up 2% y/y. #freightmarket #supplychain #transportation #logistics #trucking
