The Public Authorities Board of the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) has selected a consortium to negotiate the establishment of the Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) pilot line for Europe, named PIXEurope. Funded by the European Union, Chips JU participating states, and private organizations, PIXEurope aims to create the world's first open access PIC ecosystem. The 20-member consortium, coordinated by the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) in Spain, includes participants from multiple European countries.
