Last weekend, my team competed in Texas A&M's Hackathon, TAMUhack, and Placed 1st in the PIMCO Financial Challenge. We created a Financial Dashboard in order to help users plan out their investing and budgeting. Live Stock Comparison: Real-time stock prices at your fingertips, enabling informed investment decisions. 2. Expert Analysis: Access expert recommendation trends for any stock over  the past six months to guide your investment strategies 3. Latest News: We scrape the internet to retrieve the most recently published news articles about any companies you're interested in. 4. Budget Tracker: Effortlessly track monthly progress towards your customizable financial goals 5. Credit Card Catalog: Young investors can view a variety of potential credit card options with links to each one 6. In the busy world we live in, making space for in-person experiences isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s a must-do. It’s how you listen, connect, and understand one another. This is particularly important for families who are navigating financial planning across generations. That’s why I’m proud of our teams for hosting the Truist Wealth 2023 GenSpring Family Symposium, where they spent quality time in-person with client and their families understanding their needs and helping them work through many life scenarios together. A few things that stood out to me were:   * Be intellectually curious: ask thought-provoking questions to fully understand the possibilities and be open to different points of view.    * Learn from others: sharing peer-to-peer experiences, especially as it relates to navigating family dynamics, is invaluable.    * Human connections matter: trust and communication are strengthened across family generations and the teams who support you when you’re face-to-face.    Thank you to our advisors and teammates for making this an impactful event, especially those behind-the-scenes and who braved the stage to emcee, moderate, or present. Thanks to JPMorgan Chase & Co., Macielle Osterling, Verizon labs, and the speakers for putting on a great female founder event! Always love getting to know more female founders and investors in the LA ecosystem. The panel included q&a’s from 3 great investors that shared their knowledge around the current fundraising landscape. Each investor had their own metrics needed to raise. This ranged from: -having a technical team in house -domain experience -specific MRR/ARR targets Even if you get 10 or 50 nos it’s important to keep fighting. You may not be a right fit for all investors but you can find the investor that’s right for you.

It’s a wrap ! Thank you San Francisco🙏 ! Below my first non-sector specific JPM takeaways. Is it useful ? YES Meeting with investors, business partners, bankers, equity analysts, corporates, inform decisions and strategy in an invaluable way. We’re deeply grateful for the insights and feedback we got this week. It is demanding ? YES It’s not just the nonstop high-intensity human interactions. Get ready to run around crowded streets under the rain with your backpack, sit for hours in windowless rooms, absorb unholy amounts of coffee & junk food, attend 4 cocktail parties an evening, all while pretending you are fresh and NOT 9 hour jet lagged. Is is fun ? Oh YES it’s great to meet people in person. Everyone is going through the same grinding circus and tries to make the interaction meaningful and pleasant. Sure, a lot of information is exchanged during meeting. But if it was the only point, zoom would be enough. It’s about connecting, getting to know people. And to paraphrase Maya Angelou : they’ll forget what you said, they’ll remember how you made them feel. Looking forward to following-up on great conversations - and coming back next year !
