The dark phase of humanity, increasingly casting a shadow over all potential for salvation through technology—understood as the wisdom of collective action—brings us to a sobering actuality. We are confronted with the rise of consolidated tactical fascism in failed states, which can be seen as an avalanche-like emergence of latent explosive self-destructive urges, versus corrupt sociocracies, characterized by a lack of strategic sense production in an outdated swarm mode. This confrontation seems to stand in opposition to the potential for freedom and dignity of thinking, meaning-seeking, and already so incredibly advanced yet distracted humans globally. The Behemestudy - An ongoing case study 'be he my brother' focused. It is an evolving troubleshooter effort that picks up where chauvinism was cast out. Cloud minder meeting countryside. Family values all over the map, because family values are all over the map. Chauvinism in the dog house, like a beast. Chauvinism, on the contrary, is morality by the creed and normalcy by the neighborhood. Hawk discipline and dove good deeds, as seen by denomination and breeding, contributing the shape of water, to the table. Denomination rights of passage put the prejudiced spin on the scene. All in order, however, at the table it springs from. Round table hubs, in good feminist form, group together because we're stronger together than apart. Which is how we reach Hawk & Dove. Like the women.

We discussed the terms of the wager, the appropriate orders of magnitude, Alex Garland’s Civil War, the American readiness to use violence, honor cultures, the movement from violence to political violence, industrial mass murder, polarization, the one-dimensionality of current elites, basins of attraction, statistical distributions of violence, Rene Girard’s theory of mimetic desire, measuring political distance, the constant motion of contemporary American political views, tribalization around red-blue politics, door-holding & just-so stories, sexual signaling, the unreality of woke debates, accumulating factors that could lead to a brushfire, gun rights, the dilettantism of extremist groups, 3 specific scenarios of inciting conflicts, making sense of a post-ideological world, the question of who rules, and much more.

In the last VAST&CURIOUS newsletter, I got to watch this video about Prisoner's Dilemma, the most famous problem in Game Theory, and what it reveals about life, evolution and humanity. On short, it reflects the tension between individual rationality and collective cooperation. Somewhere around minute 18 you understand how can cooperation emerge in a population of players that are self interested. During human evolutionary history, we got to cooperate because this served our own self purpose and also our community's purpose: survival. Overall, the Prisoner's Dilemma provides a useful framework for understanding the evolutionary pressures and social dynamics that have shaped human cooperation, conflict resolution, and the development of social norms and institutions.
