Crews face obvious challenges by nature of their job, and dealing with bugs, heat, cold, rain, and more is part of their job description. But staying aware of your surroundings takes its own toll. Navigating confused (and sometimes suspicious) homeowners requires tact and grace. And the actual process of collecting data for eight to ten hours a day (or more!) can be mentally exhausting. A day in the life of an Installation Technician at TTK Surveillance can be quite busy and varied. They typically start their day by reviewing the job orders and determining the equipment and tools needed for the day's work. They then travel to the job site and begin the installation process. The first step is usually to survey the location and determine the best placement for the cameras and other equipment. They then install the equipment, run the necessary wiring, and connect the system. Once the installation is complete, the installer will test the system to verify that it is functioning properly. They will also provide training to the customer on how to use the system and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. They will assist the control room to connect the client to our system for monitoring. Our Installation technicians work in a variety of locations, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and public spaces. They need to have a good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and networking to be successful in their job.
