Great News for NHS Trusts! NHS England has updated guidance on the use of insourcing by NHS trusts. The new guidance advises using insourcing solutions to increase on-site capacity and maximise productivity and efficiency, particularly for reducing elective waiting lists. • Insourcing should be conducted using compliant suppliers on an insourcing framework agreement. • Compliant suppliers must align with NHS Payment Scheme unit prices, enabling a cost-effective solution to reduce long waiting lists. • The guidance clearly defines what insourcing is and reminds trusts to avoid inappropriate use of temporary staffing agencies This is a fantastic step towards maximising capacity and ensuring great clinical care! Me: "Here's a fully qualified Consultant who is looking for a job and could be great for your hospital! 💼 It'll cost £100k for their salary, and I charge a one-off intro fee of £12k" NHS Manager: "We do have gaps/vacancies, but we can't pay agency intro fees like that. We'd need a significant reduction to make this work" Me: "I understand! 😊 I'm happy to offer a 20% discount on our fee, and remember—there’s no cost to interview them alongside your direct applicants so no cost at all if you get someone yourselves" NHS Manager: "Even with that, it’s still around £400 more per month than an NHS contract over 2 years, and £800 if only 12 months. We can't justify it right now" Me: "But you're paying £125 per hour for a locum—that's £260k per year! 💰 My option is slightly more than direct recruitment but far less than the reality of your locum spend. It saves £150k annually. 🏥" NHS Manager: "................................🤷♀️" Me: "🤦♂️"

PHL Synaptik is delighted to see the updated guidance from NHS England on insourcing! NHS England has highlighted the benefits of using compliant insourcing companies: "When used appropriately, insourcing is an opportunity to maximise productivity and efficiency, for example, supporting the achievement of the 18-week referral to treatment target. Compliant insourcing can utilise spare or new, out-of-hours capacity to ensure that more patients can be treated." This is a great step towards enhancing efficiency and ensuring timely patient care in a cost effective manner. We're excited to see the positive impact this will have on NHS trusts 💥 Read the details here: https://lnkd.in/embHvuPA #NHS #Healthcare #Insourcing #PHLSynaptik #NHSEfficiency #PatientCare #ClinicalExcellence #NHSGuidance #ProductivityBoost

I'm often faced with people frustrated by long wait times to be seen by a provider. Unfortunately, the reality is that this isn't a unique challenge but rather commonplace in the US today. Enlisting a recruitment firm that can help fill provider vacancies quickly is critical for the success of stabilizing clinics and reducing wait times. Read why we are seeing some of these challenges today: https://lnkd.in/g9ugdNXd
