As you look through my profile, you will see I have focused on leadership and my speaking accomplishments, etc. What you won't see is my display of my employee relations expertise. That changes now! To kick it off, I want to give my perspective on conducting solid and thorough fact-finding investigations. This is tailored to my #HRDirectors who are carrying the load on their own, #firstlevelsupervisors who need additional resources to get to the bottom of things and for #employers in general because there is never enough perspective on employee relations matters. Firstly, lets make sure there is a clear and distinct understanding of fact-finding investigations. Here are my top three pointers: 1) A fact-finding investigation is a management tool used to inquire into an incident or issue within the workplace. Simply put - it's used to gather the facts. 2) Fact-finding investigations should be conducted in an impartial and confidential manner. 3) Fact-finding investigations should, when able, be conducted by individuals with good communication skills and knowledge of the organization.
