I am so excited to see these assets finally being deployed. The unfortunate reality is that they were needed and would have been most effective when these fires were just being reported. Follow up on the ground is so important, so it's also wonderful to see the firefighters there in the background of the video. Moving forward it's critical that state and federal legislators and agencies really understand when and where aircraft can be effective. The name of the game for agencies in wildfire is RAPID INITIAL ATTACK. The name of the game for home and property owners is BE PROACTIVE, LIVE FIREWISE. If we do this together, the fire service can concentrate on perimeter control, versus structure protection. When fires are this large, suppression resources are spread thin, often to a point of ineffectiveness. Every minute counts.

It examines the property insurance and construction sectors, revealing critical flaws and urging significant reforms to protect our homes and communities. As someone deeply invested in advocating for policyholder rights and ensuring that insurance fulfills its promise of security, I found the documentary's exploration of the property insurance industry and its interactions with building standards particularly resonant. It underscores the necessity for transparency, accountability, and higher standards across the board. The mission is to ensure that every home is "Built to Last." It is time to demand more from our insurance companies, builders, and policymakers. Vessel collisions annually kill or injure tens of thousands of marine animals worldwide. Interactions that harm whales and dolphins often go unnoticed or even unreported. Recently an endangered sei whale was found pinned to the bow of a cruise ship entering New York Harbor. This tragic encounter is a reminder of why Pacific Whale Foundation's work on preventing major threats, including vessel strikes, is so important. Read up on the Fire Armada's white paper "The Will to War Against Wildfires" as it dissects the in-depth problems creating our current wildfire crisis in the US.
