TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! I've watched many business owners over the years, observing how they start and who they become. It's disheartening to see the decline in their physical health: weight piles on, the light dims in their eyes, and they look less vibrant than when they began. When I started The Results Guys, I was relatively strong and fit, going to the gym 3-4 times a week (about the only consistent positive habit I had in my life at the time). But as the business grew busier, my partner got sick, and the kids demanded more energy, the first thing to go was my physical self-care. "I just don’t have time!" That was my excuse. Over the next four years, I gained 36 kilos, the light faded from my eyes, and the energy and vitality I once had felt like a distant memory. But hey, my business was doing a cool $500k in revenue. Never mind that I was breaking inside. Now, I think to myself: if I could achieve those results with such low self-care and low performance, what results could I have achieved if I had just taken care of myself, even if only physically? Physical fitness is attributed to: - 40% increase in mental clarity - Higher sustainability of energy - Increased general energy - Greater fulfillment and happiness To summarize: if you exercise regularly, you'll get your work done faster and better, feel less overwhelmed, not get tired as easily, be able to get more work done, and still have energy for your family and friends. You'll feel stronger, more capable, and happier than ever. "I don’t have time?" That's bullshit. You're just lazy! Logically, you're hindering both your business and personal growth.
