I just learned a powerful networking tip, and I have to give a HUGE shout-out to Allen Hughes III, my post-Bootcamp mentor, for sharing this gold nugget with me. 🙌 A couple of weeks ago, one of my posts got an overwhelming response, and Allen told me, “Go in and thank everyone who reacted to your post.” That simple piece of advice changed the game. By doing just that, I made connections with a few hiring managers and got in front of the regional manager and the head of sales engineering at a company I had been eyeing. I ended up having a meaningful conversation, learning more about the role and the company. It helped me figure out if it was a good fit for me or not, which is invaluable in this journey. On top of that, I’ve connected with so many incredible people here on LinkedIn like Robert Merrifield, Latifah Johnson, and Clint Osterholz. For my fellow Talent Stackers in cohort 1 2025: As a current manager embarking on a new journey I urge you to take a step back and assess your current approach. I always (monthly) remind my team on the difference between urgency vs. false urgency. As Bradley and Alex mentioned in our first two live sessions this is a process; there are strategies and tactics that support it. I'm sure we are anxious and want to knock this out of the park (sooner than later) to get the certification. Trust me, I'm one. Have patience, have perspective, and persevere. We invested in Talent Stacker and they are doing the same in return. Stay true, go with purpose, and succeed.
