Psychological safety - its simple and at the same time tricky. You can feel safe in one team but not in another, in the same organisation. Or in one meeting and not another, on the same day, with the same leader. We know that pyschological safety is impacted by a pattern of essential leadership behaviours like, > making space for people to share their voice > listening to all the voices in the room > listening to the feedback positively > acting on the feedback to improve the environment To us it also means something more. Leaders need to be able to create team conversations where these behaviours become a team norm. In other words, the way leaders create group conversations is a critical skill for psychological safety. LIW's deep insight into team effectiveness and leadership development makes us the perfect partner for leadership programs that have psychological safety as one of the outcomes. In today's fast-paced work environment, effective leadership is more crucial than ever. One powerful tool that often gets overlooked is the one-on-one check-in. 🤝These personal meetings between leaders and team members are invaluable for fostering trust, communication, and growth. They provide a dedicated space for employees to voice concerns, share successes, and discuss professional development goals. During these check-ins, leaders have the opportunity to offer support, provide feedback, and tailor their guidance to each individual's needs. It's a chance to truly understand what motivates and challenges team members, leading to increased engagement and productivity. As leaders, let's remember the impact of these one-on-one interactions. By investing time in our people, we not only strengthen our teams but also create a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. 💼 #Leadership #ProfessionalDevelopment #EmployeeEngagement
