This is another great well being tip from the Mental Health Foundation and one that I've been focusing alot on over the last few years.
I love going out for walks and bike rides on my own. The time and space to just be, without having to be something for anyone else, is amazing.
But the reality is that after a while, I miss having that connection to a real life person. Especially if I've been working from home for an extended period of time without any in person meetings or events to attend.
So a few years back I started planning well in advance to meet up with people. As more of my friends and family have started to work remotely, this has become easier.
Rather than meet up for lunch or a coffee, I've been arranging for us to go for a walk or bike ride. We'll switch up the location as well, to make it not feel repetitive.
Obviously the UK weather isn't always helpful in doing this but the main thing is that we try to make the most of it where possible.
Finding time for movement each day and then adding into it being in nature, is a great way to improve our individual well being. When combined with connecting with someone else, it then starts to improve our collective well being.
With our busy lives, it can feel difficult to achieve this to start with. But with intention and focus, it's possible.
Why not set an intention over the next few weeks that instead of meeting up with someone for lunch, you'll meet up and go for a walk?

Reclaim Your Focus with These 3 Simple Tips
We all have areas of our lives that occasionally get neglected, whether it is our health, personal growth, or mental wellbeing. The key to getting back on track does not always require major changes. Often, small, intentional steps can make all the difference.
Here are three simple tips to help you shift your focus today:
1. Pause & Reflect
Take 5 minutes to sit in stillness and ask yourself: What do I need right now? Do not pressure yourself for an answer. Sometimes, just creating the space to pause is what you need.
2. Set a Micro-Goal
Start with something small and achievable: whether it is taking a 2-minute break to breathe, a short walk, or a mindful cup of tea. The goal is to make it so easy that you cannot help but succeed.
3. Accountability & Support
Share your intention with a colleague, friend, or community. Having someone to support you in your small goals can keep you focused and committed, no matter how busy life gets.
"True transformation begins not with grand gestures, but with the quiet moments where we choose to listen, breathe, and take the smallest step forward."
What small action will you take today to refocus and nurture that neglected area of your life?

Working in a toxic environment can drain your energy, affect your mental health, and make you doubt your worth. But remember, you are not alone, and your value isn’t defined by the negativity around you. Here are some ways to manage:
1. Set Boundaries:
Protect your emotional and mental space by creating clear limits with negative people or behaviors.
2. Focus on Self-Care:
Take care of your physical and mental well-being. Exercise, meditate, or spend time with loved ones to recharge.
3. Find Support:
Connect with colleagues, mentors, or friends who understand and can offer encouragement or advice.
4. Document Everything:
Keep a record of toxic behavior or situations for your own clarity and, if needed, for reporting.
5. Develop a Growth Mindset:
Focus on your personal and professional development. Don’t let a negative environment stop you from achieving your goals.
6. Plan Your Exit:
If the environment is unbearable and affecting your health, it’s okay to consider other opportunities.
You deserve a positive, healthy workplace. Stay strong and remember your self-worth!

A Life-Changing Decision: Prioritizing My Well-being 🌱
One of the most impactful decisions I’ve made was to put my mental health first 💖 It wasn’t easy, but it transformed my life and career😎
Here are a few tips that helped me along the way:
💕Set Boundaries: Learn to say no when necessary. Protecting your time and energy is crucial ⌛
💕Take Breaks: Regularly step away from work to recharge. Even short breaks can make a big difference 🎉
💕Practice Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the kindness and understanding you’d offer a friend. It’s okay not to have all the answers right away 😍
💕Prioritize What Matters: Focus on tasks that align with your long-term goals and values. It’s about working smarter, not harder 🏆😉
By making these small changes, I became more focused, creative, and fulfilled. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, try implementing these steps. Your well-being is your greatest asset.

This is a technique I use often with clients. I myself am guilty of spending way too much much time worrying about things I cannot control. Anyone else out there guilty of this too?
Using the circle of control can help you realign your energy spend on worrying.
I add another circle to this technique:
⭕️Circle of Control
⭕️Circle of Influence (this includes taking action on things we cannot control but with action we may be able to influence the outcome)
⭕️Circle of What we Cannot Control
Why do I add the Circle of Influence? Well I believe we do not have to be stuck in our circumstances and can influence our lives with our actions and behaviors.

**Do you ever feel exhausted by things outside your control?** 🌀
From workplace stress to personal relationships, it’s easy to get caught up in things we *wish* we could change. But real peace comes from focusing on what we *can* control.
Here’s how you can start setting healthier boundaries and protecting your mental wellbeing:
✅ **Recognize what’s in your control** – Your actions, mindset, and emotional responses are *yours* to shape. Don’t waste energy on things beyond your reach.
✅ **Practice the art of saying no** – It’s okay to set limits. Try: *“I appreciate your request, but I can’t take this on right now.”*
✅ **Protect your energy** – You don’t have to engage in every conflict or meet every expectation. It’s okay to walk away.
✅ **Be mindful of who you surround yourself with** – The people you spend time with impact your mindset and emotions. Choose wisely.
✅ **Let go of the need for approval** – Not everyone will understand or support your boundaries. That’s okay. Prioritize *your* well-being first.
🚀 **Empower yourself by focusing on what you can change.** The rest? Let it go.

Letting Go & Leaning In: The Power of the Circle of Control
Loss—whether it’s losing a loved one, a relationship, or even a sense of certainty—has a way of making us confront what we can’t control. I’ve had to learn this lesson in ways I never expected. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed by the weight of circumstances beyond my reach—people’s choices, the past, or the unpredictability of life itself.
But this visual reminds me of something powerful: What I focus on can change everything.
I can’t control what’s already happened, but I can control how I choose to move forward.
I can’t control how others behave, but I can control my boundaries and my peace.
I can’t control the emotions of those around me, but I can control how I process my own.
This shift in perspective has been life-changing. Grief, setbacks, and uncertainty don’t disappear overnight, but when I focus on what I CAN control, I reclaim my power.
If you’re navigating difficult times, I hope this serves as a gentle reminder: Lean into what’s within your reach. Let go of what isn’t. Because true strength isn’t about controlling everything—it’s about choosing how we respond.
What’s something you’ve learned to let go of, and what have you reclaimed instead?
