Thinking about leaving the teaching profession already? If you're only a couple of weeks into the new school year and already questioning your decision, you're not alone. Coming back into work and being expected to hit the ground running after such a long summer off is a unique challenge for the teaching profession. Teaching can be incredibly fulfilling, but it's also one of the toughest jobs out there. Many teachers start the year with a sense of dread or doubt, wondering if it’s time to make a big career change. One teacher recently reached out, feeling like this was a decision they had been putting off for a while, but instead had been jumping around schools. That's where coaching can come in. "The hard times, the tough parts, the questioning, the resistance to the change, and ultimately the 'seeing this part through', is the proof we all need to show ourselves how resilient we are, how strong we are, and how capable we are of adapting to changes when we face them." In my latest blog, I share the advice I gave to this teacher who was feeling this way, including the insights on how to reflect on whether leaving is the right choice — or if it's simply the overwhelming start to the year clouding your perspective. https://lnkd.in/e2MU37uk This journey is all about clarity. Before making any big decisions, it's crucial to explore where you are in the change curve. Is this discomfort part of the natural adjustment process, or is it time to move on? As a coach, I help professionals of all types reflect on their careers and discover whether it’s truly time to make that leap or if they're just stuck in a cycle of self-doubt and stress. Coaching provides a safe space to explore your options, reflect on your journey, and make decisions with confidence. 📩 If you’re a teacher and you're already thinking about leaving teaching — or even if you're just unsure about your next steps — DM me for a free coaching session. Together, we can explore what’s holding you back and create a path forward. #TeacherBurnout #EducationCareers #CareerChange #TeacherSupport #ReflectivePractice #CoachingForTeachers #TeacherCoaching #LeavingTeaching #StayOrGo

💡The Power of Saying No and Learning to be Comfortable with it🌿🌿 I was recently reflecting on Sharon E. Rainey’s powerful quote: “NO” is a complete sentence: it does not require an explanation to follow. Easy to say, often hard to do. A sense of unease somehow comes up when saying no. It happens to all of us, particularly to people who have not yet been able to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Why? The fear of disappointing others, or being perceived as rude or unhelpful. What if we flipped the script and focused more on setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and maintaining personal integrity? In a world where saying yes is often glorified, the power of saying no is a skill worth cultivating. Learning to be comfortable with saying no — and the outcome it may bring — is transformative. “No” offers clarity, autonomy, and peace of mind in the personal and professional spheres of our lives. What is Self-Control? Self-control is stopping to think before you act. It involves making the right choice instead of acting on impulses. Self-control also means managing emotions in order to complete a task well. Developing strong self-control really helps you make the best choices for yourself now and in the future. What are some examples of using self-control? - Raising your hand to share a thought in class. - Stopping yourself from making a mean comment to someone else. - Stopping and thinking to help you make a more positive decision. Just finished "Create Healthy Self-Esteem: Know Your Worth" by TJ Guttormsen ! ✨ Building Self-Esteem from Within ✨ I recently completed a transformative course on self-esteem and personal growth. This journey deepened my understanding of how my mind shapes my emotions and self-image. Here are some of the key takeaways: 💡 Reclaiming Self-Esteem: Learning how to reprogram my unconscious mind and strengthen the self-esteem I was born with has been incredibly empowering. Shifting my self-image and understanding the root of my emotions has helped me take control. 💡 Building Self-Esteem Internally: I gained insights into ethics vs. morals and why integrity is vital for self-worth. I learned to stop making excuses for my success, accept what I can’t change, and live in alignment with my values. 💡 Creating Myself: Rather than “finding” myself, I’m now focused on “creating” the person I want to be. Overcoming setbacks and understanding that I deserve what I work for are foundational to my growth. 💡 Self-Esteem in Action: Healthy self-esteem behaviors are powerful. Learning to handle criticism, embrace new experiences, and show myself I’m worth it has impacted my confidence and outlook. I no longer feel the need to prove myself to others and am teaching people how I deserve to be treated. This experience reminded me that self-esteem isn’t fixed; it’s something I can nurture and grow within myself. Looking forward to continuing this journey and encouraging others to do the same! "Nothing is more fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task" So recently I read this book,"Eat that frog- 21 great ways to stop procrastinating and get more done in less time" by Brian Tracy. Eating that frog refers to completing your most important task. But how can we prioritise our most important task ?? Here are 10 ways to get big things done first: 1. Develop a routine of 'eating your frog' without taking too much time thinking about it🧠 2. Implementation of 3 Ds- Decision, discipline and determination. 3. It is important to choose the right ladder because if it's not ,you would perhaps take steps to the wrong place 🪜✅ 4.The 6 P's formula - Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance 5. The 80/20 rule- the 20% of your activities accounts for 80% of your results. 6.The Law of forced efficiency - there is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time for the most important thing ⌛ 7.The ABCDE method- prioritise your work based on urgency from A to E. Find the difference between Shoulds VS Musts 8. It is the quality of time at work that counts and the quantity of time at home that matters🏠 9. Create a cleaner, neater and well organised workspace. 10. Lastly, never stop learning📈 #linkedincreators #linkedincommunity #readingcommunity #procastination #briantracy

From Stress to Balance: In 8 weeks, rediscover joyful teaching and build a career you love and a life that energizes you. DM 'Transform' to start your journey II Sustainability & Teacher Coach II LifestyleDesigner II
🌟 Transforming Teacher Stress into Success FridayInspo🌟 I know that the pressures of teaching can sometimes feel like climbing a mountain, with stress as an unwelcome backpack adding weight to your journey. But what if we could lighten that load? 🏔️ Here are 3 key steps from my TRANSFORM model to help you reshape stress into stepping-stones for success: T - Target the Outcome: Set a clear goal. What does success vs stress look like for you? Is it more time for self-care, better classroom management, or perhaps a more balanced workload? Define what you're aiming for – this will be your guiding star. 🌟 R - Reflect on Reality: Take a moment to honestly assess your current situation. What specific aspects of your job are causing the most stress? Is it lesson planning, classroom dynamics, or administrative tasks? Identifying these stressors is the first step in managing them. 🤔 A - Assess and Explore Options: Now, let's get creative! For each identified stressor, brainstorm possible solutions. Could delegating certain tasks, implementing new time-management techniques, or setting firmer boundaries help? Remember, there's always more than one path up the mountain. 🛤️ You're not alone on this climb. I am here to guide and support you every step of the way. Let's transform those challenges into opportunities for growth and success. 💪 Share your thoughts and experiences below! How do you handle stress in your teaching journey? Let's learn from each other! 📚✨ #TeacherWellness #Education #StressManagement #TransformWithKicki #kickislifedesign

Failure Is a Part of Life! . With the annual #assessments coming up or the #results in hands, a lot must be brewing in the young minds and with the experience I thought will share my advice to #Students. Remember : 1. Learning from Mistakes : Think of messing up as a cool way to learn, not the end of your journey. Be it time management, stress managements, last minute reading/memorizing, working on the tougher sections.. make a log of what went wrong or where there is a scope for #improvement. 2. Getting Better Every Time : Every time things don't go as #planned, it's like the universe is giving you a hint on how to do better next time. There is always a next time as long as you wish there to be one. Nothing is the end of the road ! 3. Becoming Stronger: When you don't give up, even when things are tough, you're getting #stronger on the inside. Work on fixing things that didn't probably help you this time 4. *Thinking Outside the Box : Sometimes, when things go wrong, you have to get creative and think of new ways to solve problems. Be #logical and practical than trying to memorize. Try to apply the concept and put in thoughts/solutions in a logical way, many a times it helps. Certainly can be that time of the year where in nervousness, anxiety kicks in - but take it one at a time, focus , relax and more important - there is always a next time. #exams #failure #success #stressmanagement #timemanagement #students #newacademicyear #problems #solutions
