Happy Earth Day! 🌎💚 We're passionate about working together to take care of our beautiful planet and make a lasting impact. In celebration of Earth Month, we donated $3,500 to Tree Hill Nature Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to promoting environmental stewardship through educational programs and access to natural spaces. We also teamed up to help them create a new 1,500-square-foot pollinator garden to provide a safe environment for bees, local species and plants to thrive. #StrongerTogether

Celebrating this beautiful, mysterious, and wonderful planet this Earth Day! As the only registered forester on staff, and likely the only registered forester in all of mid-rev cycle, I will take any chance I can to talk about plants! The first value, the original value, and the lifeblood of Norwood is “Deep Roots, Strong Connections”. A forest ecosystem is importantly linked to microbiota, fungi, and other biotic and abiotic factors beneath the soil. Much of the time, sick looking leaves are actually indicators of invisible root problems beneath the soil. In the mid-revenue cycle, there are similar indicators that can stay hidden until they adversely influence revenue and, more importantly, quality of patient care. Our team is capable of doing full-revenue cycle assessments, provider education, managed services, and much more. Connect with me, mid-revenue’s only registered forester, and I’ll show you how strong roots and deep connections are the lifeblood of the Norwood difference and how Norwood can deliver health to your hospital’s bottom line.

🔷 Blue carbon ecosystems like seagrasses and mangroves are really effective at capturing carbon (they can sequester more carbon per acre than forests!) and provide storm protection, water quality boosts, and economic benefits to coastal communities. Protecting these habitats is a smart investment in our future! 🔗 Discover how states can better tap into these natural climate solutions with expert insights from Jaxine Wolfe (Smithsonian Environmental Research Center): https://lnkd.in/eV8gpMSn Pew Charitable Trusts US Nature4Climate #BlueCarbon #ClimateAction #NaturalClimateSolutions

As an avid gardener, I know firsthand how vital bees are to our food production and the overall health of our ecosystem. Their role in pollination is crucial for our gardens and crops. This got me thinking about how much we can learn from bees, especially their teamwork. One of my favorite reads has been this insightful blog: https://lnkd.in/e3tcB5si on Bee-inspired Teamwork by Marc-Peter Pijper which explores how bees communicate, cooperate, and adapt—key elements for successful team dynamics. Bees teach us the importance of clear roles, strong communication, and shared purpose, all crucial for a thriving team. Let's keep supporting our bees and each other! 🐝💛 #PosiGen #BePositive #BeeConservation #SaveTheBees #PlanetBeeFoundation #SaveTheBeesUSA #Teamwork #Gardening
🌟🌼 PosiGen is buzzing with excitement! 🌼🌟 Thanks to your amazing support during our June Be Positive Campaign, we've donated a total of $225 each to the Planet Bee Foundation and Save the Bees USA. For every positive BBB review, we pledged $5 to these incredible bee conservation organizations, and your reviews made it happen! Together, we're not only spreading positive vibes but also supporting bee health and environmental sustainability. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us! 🐝💛 #PosiGen #BePositive #BeeConservation #SaveTheBees #PlanetBeeFoundation #SaveTheBeesUSA

Georgia ForestWatch is a dedicated nonprofit committed to preserving and protecting Georgia's national forests. The hive of earth givers needs to grow. At Earth Gives we are working to do just that with the first US-wide giving day focused on the environment, climate and climate justice. Eco philanthropy of just 2% simply is not enough to scale our impact work. Together, we can invite thousands of worker bees to pollinate our organizations with donations and volunteer commitments, and get busy learning and leading change in their own hives. Let's welcome them into the community. Register to bee in solidarity with others, to boost your volunteer crop, and to sweeten your pot. Conserving and protecting our natural environment is a very important area of community need. The environment is a network of living things, and it is fundamental for sustaining life in our community. According to the City of Guelph’s 2023 Environmental Sustainability Report, 22% of Guelph’s total land area is made up of natural heritage systems and urban forests. These systems include a variety of environmental features: 31% streams and valleys; 30% linkages, landform, wildlife habitat and restoration areas; and 39% woodlands and wetlands. All these environmental systems come together to support life and biodiversity in our community. For example, these environmental features help reduce pollutants in the air and water, support wildlife and plant lifecycles, promote health and wellness, and act as natural cooling systems. Throughout Guelph and surrounding areas, there are many charities and non-profit organizations working to protect and conserve the environment. If the environment is an area of community need that you are interested in supporting philanthropically, consider working with the Guelph Community Foundation to contribute to a related fund – or start your own environmental conservation-oriented fund. We offer several types of funds that will allow you to be as specific or broad as you would like in what you would like to support in environmental protection! #GuelphCommunityFoundation #GCF #Environment #Conservation #Guelph #Philanthropy
