Following yesterday’s Autumn Statement announcement, salary sacrifice pensions are back in the spotlight. National Insurance for employers will increase from 13.8% on salaries above £9,100 to 15% on salaries above £5,000 in April 2025. For context, an employee on a salary of £50,000 will cost an employer an additional £1,000 per year. It will remain that employers get full NI relief on employee pension contributions via salary sacrifice. Are your employees as engaged in their pensions as they could be? If not, you could be leaving money on the table. For employers, there will be even bigger cost savings associated with building their employees' financial future. Two things I’m sure most employers would love to see more of. #AutumnStatement #SalarySacrifice #Pensions
