World YMCA Accelerator Summit, Mombasa: An insightful conversation with Caroline Khamati, Director International Labour Organization on creating employability for young people who have dropped out of school. This requires a holistic approach that addresses their educational gaps, builds marketable skills and provides pathways to meaningful employment. 🌟Alternative Education Programs such as high School Equivalency Programs are required to support young people in earning Recognition of Prior Learning certificate, making them eligible for more job opportunities. Partnerships with educational institutions in bridging programs will aim to create alternative education routes that offer flexible learning schedules. 🌟With these strategies, we can help young people develop the skills and confidence they need to enter the workforce and succeed in their chosen paths amplifying impact. #Vision2030 #meaningfulwork

🔸 **Seeking Knowledge and the Worries of the World** *Sheikh Muqbil bin Hadi al-Wadi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said:* "My advice to myself and to everyone is to immerse ourselves in seeking knowledge because there is no end to the worries of the world. Beware! Do not get engrossed in the troubles of life! If we remain occupied with them, we will never be able to learn." 💎(Al-Bashair fi al-Samai al-Mubasher, p. 21) Sheikh Muqbil emphasizes the importance of prioritizing knowledge acquisition over getting consumed by the endless worries and troubles of the world. By focusing on seeking knowledge, individuals can empower themselves with tools to navigate life's challenges effectively. This advice underscores the significance of investing time and effort into learning, as it not only enriches one's understanding but also equips them with solutions to overcome difficulties. #SeekKnowledge #PrioritizeLearning #StayFocused #OvercomeWorries #onlinequranacademy

#Corporate #Coping skills that youth can learn from the festival of #Ramzan Festival in India ** As India observes the holy month of Ramadan, let's delve into the valuable lessons it imparts that are particularly relevant for young professionals navigating the corporate world. #Discipline & #Resilience: Fasting during Ramadan teaches immense self-discipline and resilience. These qualities are crucial for meeting deadlines, managing workloads, and bouncing back from setbacks in the corporate arena. #Focus & #Prioritization: Throughout the Ramadan fast, focus and prioritization become essential for managing daily activities. Similarly, at work, streamlining tasks and prioritizing effectively will boost productivity and time management. #Empathy & #Understanding: Ramadan fosters empathy and understanding as people abstain from food and drink. This translates beautifully to the workplace, where fostering positive relationships and respecting colleagues' needs is key. #Gratitude & #Contentment: The breaking of the fast (Iftar) is a time for gratitude and appreciating simple things. Cultivating an attitude of gratitude in the workplace can significantly enhance your outlook and well-being. #Community & #Support: Ramadan emphasizes the importance of community and social support. Walking down memory lane on a great day. Please walk with me I remember years ago in my final year at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (of the greatest gba gba😜). My friends and I were discussion what to do after school and I said HR. Trust me I didn't know anything about HR 😄, I heard my lecturer mention HR couple of months before and it caught my attention. And that was how I chose HR 😄 Though to share a bit more about myself; 📌 I am passionate about my role as an HR professional because it allows me be actively involved in the goal/vision of an organization. I get to partner with the business via managing its people to achieve a known goal. 📌 I am also passionate about #SDG4: Quality Education and #SDG8: Decent work and economic growth. I have partnered with some NGOs: e.g. #MedeaFoundation, #ProjectgiveFoundation, #Executiveinitiative, #MentorsinNigeriainitiative for SDG 4. In my volunteering with these NGOs: I have sharpened and still sharpening the following skills #stakeholdersmanagement, #timemanagement, #projectmanagement, #communication, #adaptability, #collaboration and #leadership skills. 📌 I am a firm believer of #identity comes before #purpose: Who you are precedes what you do 📌 I am committed to growth and learning: Being #teachable remains sacrosanct for me. I am a work in progress: My journey is #evolving. 📌 I am a firm believer of the power of the mind: My mind is my most prized possession 📌 My content on this platform revolves around work, Career, tips around thriving in the workplace. I basically share as I learn and grow. 📌 I am passionate about teenagers and young adult: speaking, impacting teenagers is one of the things I like doing. Now you know me better 😄😄. Great to E-meet you. Cheers to an amazing week.🥂🥂🥂 #introduction #powerofthemind #HRlady #PMP Roseline Ekong PHRi™, ACIPM Omobolajoko Sowemimo FAITH JOSHUA-SHITTU (HRPL, ACIPM) Chidinma Nwamara ACIPM, HRPL
