The winning formula for a finance CV? Bogdan Golumbeanu Senior Analyst at Goldman Sachs explains how he finally got it right…. My first ever CV was 3 pages long, very text-heavy and the font was blue. I was telling my life's story and I was confident that everyone would be interested in reading it. Unsurprisingly, most of my applications were not successful. After my mentor reviewed my CV, these are the things I learned to get you an interview: ✅ Your CV should be 1 page long ONLY. Save in PDF to check that it doesn’t run over. ✅ Use Times New Roman/Arial/Calibri, font size 11 or higher, and 0.5 spacing ✅ Keep each bullet point exactly 1 line long - if your lines run over halfway through the next, you are wasting space ✅ Quantify: Eg. Led a team of 10; Improved efficiency by X%, etc ✅ Use action verbs.
