Welcome to the STEM Speed Builds Challenge For KS3. This set of fast-paced, high-energy task cards is designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and engineering skills in a fun and time-sensitive environment. 🎓 My First Lecture about Inclusion at DTU 🤝 Yesterday, I had the honour of co-lecturing for the first time at DTU! 🌟 I delivered the session about 'inclusion' for the Management of Organizational Change course, a master’s degree EuroTeQ course with over 200 engineering students. As someone passionate about teaching, learning, and inclusion, designing and preparing this class was an enjoyable experience. It provided me with the opportunity to combine my passion for teaching and learning with my research interest in inclusivity. However, as it was my first time lecturing in an engineering course, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves, which motivated me to diligently prepare. Inclusion is a topic that most people can relate to, but I wanted to illustrate why it matters, particularly in the context of engineering and change management. Despite the challenges of conducting an online lecture, I aimed to make it engaging and interactive. I shared insights on the 'what', 'why', and 'how' of inclusion, along with some self-reflection activities. Additionally, I discussed my PhD project and preliminary results regarding 'inclusive mindset'. Students were then tasked with group work focused on identifying suggestions for biased design and utilising impact/stakeholder analysis to aid implementation. The class went smoothly, with impressive outputs from the students. Co-lecturing allowed me to bridge theory with real-world practice, fostering an inclusive learning environment and mindset. This experience wouldn't have been possible without the support of many. Special thanks to John Paulin Hansen, my PhD supervisor, for encouraging me to take on this teaching assistant role. I’m grateful to Christina Berg Johansen for believing in me, providing the opportunity to co-lecture, and coaching me throughout the process. Thanks also to DTU Learning Lab for reminding me of the importance and know-how of the learner-centred approach through the "Supervision and Facilitation of Learning" course, and to Nynne Budtz Christiansen for feedback on content and group work design. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to engage with students, and I eagerly anticipate more enriching experiences ahead. FI in Schools Today marked the thrilling start of the F1 in Schools program at Hunter School of Performing Arts in Newcastle, and the energy was palpable! Thanks to the support from the Regional Industry Education Pathway program (RIEP), Regional Development Australia, and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, students are diving into the world of designing, analysing, and racing miniature F1 cars. Our goal? To ignite a passion for STEM education by providing hands-on experiences that empower young minds and foster innovation and highlight careers pathways in engineering. This initiative isn't just about building cars; it's about building futures. By bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, we're preparing students for the demands of the evolving job market right here in our region. And with the support of mentors like Tank Solutions, we're off to an incredible start! Here's what we're looking forward to achieving: Enhanced STEM Skills: Students will master engineering design, aerodynamics, and more - all skills in high demand by local industries. Industry Engagement: Building connections between students and local businesses, opening doors to future career opportunities. Empowering Female Students: Encouraging greater participation in STEM, including through a dedicated girls-only team, to create a more inclusive and diverse future workforce. Practical Experience: From project management to problem-solving, students are gaining invaluable hands-on skills for their educational and professional journeys. Direct Curriculum Link: Integrating F1 in Schools directly into classroom learning, ensuring a seamless transition from theory to practice.

🎓 Reflecting on my enriching journey at JECRC University over the past 8 months has been a rewarding experience. From forging meaningful connections to academic achievements and personal growth, it's been a remarkable ride. Here's a glimpse into my journey: 1. Making Friends: 🤝 Building lasting friendships has been integral to my B.Tech journey at JECRC. Through shared study sessions and mutual interests, the camaraderie among peers has enriched my university experience. 2. Academic Achievements: 📚 Embracing academic challenges with dedication, I've achieved milestones like excelling in exams and delving into research projects, each contributing to my personal and professional growth. 3. Participation in Events and Fests: 🎉 Engaging in various events and fests has been a highlight. Whether showcasing talents in cultural festivals or competing in technical events, the vibrant campus atmosphere has fostered learning and self-expression. 4. Participation in Coding Programs: 💻 Participating in coding programs and competitions has been immensely rewarding. From honing programming skills to innovative collaborations, these experiences have nurtured a spirit of innovation. 5. Personal Growth and Development: 🌱 JECRC University has facilitated not just academic pursuits but also personal growth. Through workshops, seminars, and mentorship, I've gained valuable insights and skills preparing me for future challenges. 6. Memorable Experience: 🌟 Participating in an esports event playing Valorant with my team stands out as one of the most memorable moments at JECRC. The adrenaline rush, strategic gameplay, and camaraderie showcased the vibrant university culture. Whether it was a trip, an interaction with faculty, or a breakthrough in studies, these memories hold a special place in my heart, shaping my journey at JECRC. 7. Clubs of the College: 🏫 Active involvement in various clubs has been rewarding. From leadership roles in student government to exploring interests in hobby clubs, extracurricular activities added depth to my university journey. 8. JECRC Incubation Centre : 🚀 The JECRC Incubation Centre has been pivotal in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Providing resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities, it empowered me to explore entrepreneurial ideas. 🙌 My journey at JECRC University has been transformative.
