The FARA cancellation signals increased DoD focus on unmanned systems, and was compounded by yesterday's replicator discussion in Mountain View, CA with INDOPACOM, DIU, the Replicator Initiative, the Joint Mission Accelerator Directorate (JMAD), and other DoD entities. With ~$2B already spent developing the FARA helo platforms, this was no light decision and will ripple its way through the workforce. The unmanned layers are accelerating requirement change due to what unmanned systems impart onto a capability. Echoing the panelists: "Autonomy is nothing, Capability is everything." The autonomous advantage imparted by unmanned systems on the speed, scale, and impact of fast attack and reconnaissance (FARA) capabilities may not hold across all mission-sets,... but it will for at least a few more. Milrem Robotics and AEC Skyline have integrated Starlink satellite communications (SATCOM) into the THeMIS UGV Milrem Robotics, the world’s leading robotics and autonomous systems developer, and AEC Skyline, a supplier of advanced critical data solutions, have integrated Starlink satellite communications (#SATCOM) together with associated equipment into the world-renowned #THeMIS Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) that allows it to be controlled over vast distances. This new, advanced Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) controlling capability will be unveiled during #Eurosatory2024, which will take place in Paris, France, from June 17 to 21. Mass employment of unmanned systems will transform future fleet operations. At U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Integrated Battle Problem 24.1 experiment, Anduril’s Lattice software served as the primary software solution that enabled operators to integrate, network, and command and control more than a dozen Anduril and partner unmanned systems across air, sea, and sub-sea. The success of IBP 24.1 brings us one step closer to operationalizing UxS into the force with Lattice at the center - integrating, networking, and enabling humans to C2 masses of unmanned systems. https://lnkd.in/eVTcnBes

Throughout IBP 24.1, operators not only leveraged Lattice as a common operational picture, but also used Lattice to construct and execute coordinated multi-domain, multi-asset mission plans. Operators used Lattice to automate machine tasking of UxVs, adjusting their position, speed, and sensor coverage in real-time based on observations of changing battlefield conditions, demonstrating the operational utility of Lattice’s low-latency data mesh.
