Founder & CEO at FasterLines (FastQSR & FastCW) | Working With our Clients to Solve Line Delays and Speed Up Service! 🏁 10X Return on Investment 📈 AI-powered Line Detection Technology 💭 IoT Data-As-A-Service ⏱️
DOING THEIR BEST! I had a recent experience on the road at a famous slider QSR. I stylized the photo to protect the innocent. It was a Sunday and this place was BUSY! Not fun busy, customers all standing around grumbling busy, cars cinnamon rolled around the building in the drive thru, cars honking, drivers getting out of line BUSY! The manager was obvious and she was KILLING IT, literally running from spot to spot, helping her team, interacting with frustrated customers, playing SUPER WOMAN. The team was clearly short staffed (only one of three griddles packed, it was obvious to anyone watching)... Is this normal for this site? Do they operate like this every Sunday afternoon?!? Do you have sites trying to do this? It is not sustainable! I saw employees that I know are going to quit. The manager was doing everything in per power at the time to "fix" the problem, but it was a resource issue. Did she schedule it this way? Was she man hours constrained? With the right staff this could have been a GOLDEN couple of HOURS, I mean the kind of hours that the team rallies around and brags about for months! In this environment (employment, economy, culture) PLEASE do not do this to your teams. Give them what they need to succeed. Do not think they can run at 115% for days, weeks, months at a time, you will lose good people that should be part of your team for the long haul but will not put up with abuse. Be the CAVALRY, be aware that they are in need, tell them you see it and know and are on the way with help. Give them a sense of how long they need to fight the horde before help will arrive. And now we come to the real problem... do you know? Do you see the issue? Can you tell when your sites are busy and need more help? Over the last decade I have determined that most leaders outside of a site don't have the data needed to know when demand is too high for the resources assigned. Why? Most organizations can only see what was done, not what was possible. They see the orders and entrees executed and not the cinnamon roll around the drive thru, not the line waiting inside, not the addition 10, 20, 30 customers that could have been served during that busy hour, not the screaming in frustration wait that the customer endures just before they say "never again, I will never be back". Let us help you see the problem/opportunity! WE CAN! WE HAVE for all of our clients. Every client who has partnered with us has identified scheduling mismatches that they had NO IDEA were happening repeatedly week after week, month after month, opportunities to serve more customers better. FasterLines - FastQSR can give you the vision your team needs to know where the next great service hour is hiding! Be the CAVALRY! Don't leave your team in despair at the Alamo! Why Wait?!?!?

Supporting individuals to find understanding of who they are as a person, to find understanding to concerns they have, growing self-esteem and confidence.
Client: l don’t know what l want or what l want to talk about. Me: That’s okay, we can sit and work together with the unknown to bring it into the known. Client: l took some photos of me and l really like them. Me: That sounds like confidence. Client: Yes, l feel more confident. We never know what our clients will bring to their sessions. It’s not all about being alongside your client through their pain of the known and unknown. There are also moments of celebrating the wins that lay beyond that pain. This is why l do what l do 😊

Every human is limitless in their unique way. Their capacity to dream and set goals knows no bounds. And honestly, age is just a number, nothing more. We can observe this simple truth in the examples of: - Colonel Harland Sanders, who started franchising Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) at 65. - Sam Walton, who opened the first Walmart at 44, revolutionizing retail. - Arianna Huffington, who launched The Huffington Post at 54, becoming a media pioneer. And the list goes on… Inspirational, indeed! For these dreamers and go-getters, every year is another chapter, another chance: → To set lofty goals. → To pursue new dreams. → To redefine success. P.S. What’s your next dream? Share it below.

Founder: Smarter Not Harder Academy ⎮I help high-performing women achieve more without sacrificing more.⎮1:1 & Group Coaching ⎮ Professional Speaker
👉 “I’m very hard on myself, to the point where it wasn’t good enough unless we sell through all of our inventory. I want to make sure I’m never complacent or get too comfortable.” 👉 “I’d feel amazing, but it would be very short-lived. You’re only as good as the last deal you closed.” 👉 “I would tell myself - good job, but don’t get complacent.” 👉 “Feels great! “Okay -what’s my next goal?” I don’t celebrate forever - I probably need to celebrate wins more. “ Do any of these responses sound like something you’ve told yourself after accomplishing a goal? 🤔 We are confusing celebrating a win with complacency. But, celebrating a win is no more complacent than resting is giving up. 🤯 Much like rest is necessary to move forward, celebrating your wins is critical if you want to continue to win. 🥇 #CelebrateTheWins #Motivation #RestForSuccess

Helping businesses grow their presence online, increase market share, and ultimately increase their bottom line.
Congrats to my dad (Tim Barlow) on 30 years at the same company- that’s very rare in this day and age. He’s taught me a lot in life but here are a few thing’s that stick out to me at the moment. 1. Do one thing everyday of your life that scares you. True growth happens when you are out of your comfort zone. 2. When you tell someone that you are going to do something, do it: when you inevitably make a mistake because we are human, take accountability for it and don’t let it happen again. 3. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Work hard where you are at and God will handle the rest. 4. The harder you work - fhe “luckier” you get. 5. Underachievers can’t stand overachievers and overachievers can’t stand underachievers. 6. The difference in the person at the top of the leaderboards every month and the person at the bottom of the leaderboards every month boils down to their mindset and discipline. 7. Whether you think you can or think you can’t - you’re right.
I am so fortunate to have spent 30 years with this incredible group of winners, selling incredible products and services to some of the brightest minds in this region! It has been an extreme honor to work with each of you!!

Let's give a round of applause to this month's Shield Spotlight recipient, Carly Tessmann! 🎉👏 Carly has been making a huge impact at EcoShield with her dedication and hard work. Want to know more about Carly and her incredible contributions? Keep reading below! 👇 🔹 When did you join EcoShield & what’s your position/role? I joined our “OG” Chicago branch in 2017 when I was just a little 21-year-old baby looking for a place to settle! I started out as a Start Tech and worked my way up to a Reg Tech, Field Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, and now a General Manager of the Chicago North Branch! 🎉 🔹 What is your favorite part of your job? Everyone thinks it’s cheesy when managers or employers say this, but it truly is the people I work for. 🛡️💙 I love coming in each day with the goal to genuinely help my employees. I pride myself on creating as diverse and inclusive atmosphere as possible at my branch and our employees truly feel it! 🔹 What's one thing you would tell someone who was thinking about working at EcoShield? Do it. Even if you have some doubts, push those away and just do it. 💪 🔹 If you could pick just one, what would your "spirit bug" be? Hmmm. I would have to choose a honey bee! 🐝 I am super docile and just want to do my job all day every day! I won’t sting, as long as you don’t come after me or my people. 😜 🔹 Who would win in a fight: you or a Tarantula Hawk Spider Wasp? Pshhh it only sounds scary. Just give me a 25-foot pole and I’ll knock their nest right down no sweat. 😅 Maybe give me a bee suit first... or at least a can of wasp freeze. 😂 🔹 What's your secret talent/a fun fact about you? I have an identical twin sister! We are both managers in pest control. 🐜🚫 Not only is it rare to have women in pest control, but two identical twins is crazy! To be a fly one the wall at our family gatherings... it’s quite entertaining so I’ve been told. I guess it runs in the family! 👯 🔹 What is one word you would use to describe EcoShield? Life-Changing. 🙌

Passionately helping clients recognize the art of the possible by leveraging data-driven experiences.
Tales from the recently laid off, a personal journey – Why is Hamilton in my head? It is hard to believe that it has been two and half weeks since I learned that I was laid off. The initial shock has worn off, things are quieting down, the rush of “how can I help” has slowed and the inbox messages of “have you looked here” or “have you looked there” have decreased. I totally get it…people have lives and jobs to get back to and this journey is mine to own. So, why is Hamilton in my head? There is a scene in the play where Alexander Hamilton and Raymond Burr walk into a bar and Hamilton sings “I am NOT throwing away my shot.” This song is on replay in my brain as every “shot” represents a new “opportunity” for me. Personally, every phone screen is an opportunity to gain insights about amazing companies in my industry. Every interview is an opportunity to expand my network. Every conversation is an opportunity to learn about a company’s culture. These are opportunities that I choose to pursue relentlessly as they will help guide me on my professional journey. I leave you with two questions: 1- What is your anthem and how does it motivate you? 2- Who needs an awesome technology partner/alliance manager? I am still on the market! #opportunity #hamilton #optimism #laidoff #fyp #anthem #grateful Roxanne Paulus Teran Canterbury Pam Latvala Owen McCorry Steve Riegel Tice Mays Laurence Rothman Liz Russell Mike Turcotte Lars Graae Rocky DeAngelis Stephanie Prettyman Christine Wolff Jen Gulling Amy Kieffer Lizzette (Liz) Nunez (She/Her/Ella) Paul Umansky Brian York Susan Ellison Tammy McMahon Ben Cook Greg Fadale Assad Noori Jill Howe Mark Zerbe Erikka Buracchio, PHR, CPC Amy Smith Delanie Olsen Kellee Kramer Renee Hilmi
