This was one of my favorite HRACRE (Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate) meetings. My favorite part was learning how they research trends to implement into their properties. Thanks The Breeden Company for having us! #propertymanagement #commercialrealestate #collegeintern
Yesterday, some of the Breeden leadership team spoke with Hampton Roads-based interns from various organizations regarding Breeden Property Management’s capabilities. Many thanks to the HRACRE (Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate) for organizing the intern programming and allowing us to share more about The Breeden Difference. It was great to talk with so many future professionals. The Breeden leadership team included Bonnie Moore (President, Property Management), Christine Gustafson (Vice President, Marketing & Public Relations), Mark Denny (Vice President, Property Management) and Jamie Kane (Vice President of New Development, Multifamily Division). #thebreedencompany #hracre #intership #inspiringthenextgeneration #propertymanagement

Consultant, Real Estate Advisor, Adjunct Professor, Career Coach, Chief Engagement Officer, Georgia Tech graduate.
Today’s thankful and thriving Thursday is dedicated to everyone who participated in Stone Mountain High School’s Career Exploration Day! I want to give a huge shout-out to Sydney Matheny, Asst. Project Manager from HITT Contracting and Sherle Brown of the Real Estate Career Academy and UGA for joining me to promote careers in real estate. Sherle, Sydney, and I shared that our industry has more than 500,000 open positions ranging from A to Z including construction and property management. I was so encouraged by these motivated students eager to join the workforce. Did you or a team member spend time in a classroom this week? If not, why not? Are you simply relying on your recruiting team to sift through inbound inquiries or are you willing to get in the classroom and fire these students up for opportunities in your company? Think of a person who invested in you. Knowledge doesn’t simply come out of a book, it comes through experience. The best way to harvest the best and the brightest is to be with them on the front line in the classroom. Long-term success happens organically. Plant. Cultivate. Harvest. Get thirsty for new talent and tune into classrooms! #RECA #experientiallearning #staythirsty #RPMCareers #CTAE #CareerPathways

For the past two and a half years, A Better City and its members have partnered with the City of Boston’s new workforce development training program, PowerCorpsBOS, to develop and implement a building operations program track. The goal is to develop a viable pathway for 18-30 years old Boston residents to train, intern, and gain employment in Boston’s large buildings—filling a critical workforce gap in large building operations and facilities. The PowerCorpsBOS building operations cohorts ran from January-June 2023 and July-December 2023, with the third cohort running from May 2024-March 2025. A Better City has learned several lessons that have been applied to future trainings, and we hope may be useful for other new or existing equitable workforce development programs. We are excited to share these lessons with you: Building Our Future: Lessons Learned from Partnering with the PowerCorpsBOS Building Operations Training Program #powercorpsbos #buildingoperations #workforcetraining
