We need more people like Ben Askins who has been burning up the web with stories of how bosses and HRs mistreat their employees. I hope it causes a lot of headaches. BTW if you want to test how effective your HR is, have them write a resume of your past five to ten years of work. My guess is you will find them missing a LOT of things. Part of the reason, to justify hiring externally, not promoting internally. HR is not there for you 98% of the time. Only for the management.
