Navigating Miles, Delivering Smiles. The mantra of 🙌 "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas" 🌟 is a motivating call to work together towards achieving a developed India by 2047, the centenary of our independence. Having worked in public health for almost twenty-five years, I have personally witnessed how this mantra has added value to development programs and ensured their successful implementation. To realize this vision, #publicprivatepartnership plays a crucial role. Both entities must collaborate towards a common goal and view challenges as opportunities. By prioritizing #lastmiledelivery, and addressing issues such as mistrust, lack of on-ground monitoring, and delay in timely resource allocation, we can build a robust and effective program that benefits our communities. Effective communication and information-sharing between leaders of both sectors can further strengthen this partnership and ensure that our hard work and resources are optimally utilized to benefit those we serve. 🤝 Let us join hands and embrace this inspiring mantra to work towards a developed India that truly reflects the values of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas."

It was great to be a part of the TechforGood Conclave by nasscom foundation and share an IDH perspective on the role of technologies for climate resilient agriculture. It was an extremely vibrant event, with several topical discussions all anchored around how technology can aid inclusive and sustainable development. From our session, my key takeaways were: 1. For scaling climate resilient practices especially in the smallholder farmer context, there is a need for investments in behaviour change. To be precise, there is a need for innovating when it comes to result based financing. For instance, we may need to think beyond payment for products to payments for processes; and someone would need to underwrite the risks that these processes may entail on productivity; 2. Seaweed has immense potential for mitigating agricultural emissions. Bioinputs manufactured from seaweed can be a great addition to nutrition management. 3. Climate mitigation and adaptation require different resources, however, in agriculture there are several mitigation measures that have additional adaptation benefits. They could be a key starting point for streamlining climate action.

I distributed samples of Kwality Walls ice cream 25 years ago as a volunteer and learned that offering free ice cream doesn't guarantee customers' attention. Later, working with Red Bull Energy Drink, I sent volunteers to distribute free cans at corporates and nightclubs. It taught me that people feel privileged to receive a free can of an aspirational brand like Red Bull. In 2020, I launched "Be Your Own Lakshmi," India’s first financial literacy course for girls and women. I offered free workshops to provide insight into the course, and 15,000 women signed up. Although I shared valuable tips (800+ written feedback received from participants) for women on building financial health in the FREE workshops, only 400 women paid to join the 20-hour live class course in 2021. Now, I'm reconsidering how to help women understand why prioritizing their financial health is urgent and crucial. Financial literacy isn't just about investing in stocks and mutual funds; it goes beyond for women in India that stock market and finlit influencers are not covering yet.
