Hey connections The session began with an exploration of the fundamental principles governing crystal structures. Dr. Immanuel elucidated how the arrangement of atoms or molecules within a crystal lattice gives rise to its unique properties. "The regular, repeating pattern of atoms in a crystal lattice is what endows crystals with their characteristic symmetry and crystalline nature," explained Dr. Immanuel. Attendees were introduced to the concept of symmetry operations, which play a crucial role in understanding the symmetry properties of crystals. Through interactive demonstrations and visual aids, participants gained insights into symmetry elements such as rotation axes, mirror planes, and inversion centers, which dictate the overall symmetry of a crystal lattice. One of the highlights of the session was the discussion on crystallographic techniques used to study the structure of crystals. Dr. Immanuel delved into X-ray diffraction, a powerful method that allows scientists to determine the arrangement of atoms within a crystal lattice by analyzing the scattering pattern of X-rays. "X-ray diffraction has revolutionized our understanding of crystal structures, enabling us to unravel the secrets hidden within these orderly arrangements of atoms. l would also like to thank SRIRAM.M Sir for organising the session #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking

Thanks to Bob, Chris, Scott and Scott (aka Scott²) for presenting the two day modal and vibe seminar between ATA Engineering and Siemens. It was really cool to see how Testlab can help speed up the curve fitting process during modal testing with the PolyMAX method and (personally for me) REALLY cool to see how Testlab will allow for real time gain adjustments to specific wavelets (on the fly!) during shaker shock in between pulses without having to exit the test. The ability to plot psuedo velocity real time during transient capture is a huge time save during the tuning process for MIPS testing. I'm hopeful for some continued future #customerobsession (😉) with the addition of: - Cross orthos for modal testing to incorporate mass matrices - Four coordinate plots for transient capture to help tune MIPS setups #learnandbecurious
